Freestyle is the most basic and common type of swimming. Here are the steps to correct the freestyle:
Standing position:Stand in the water with your legs slightly spread and your toes slightly turned out. The arms hang down naturally.
Into the water:Straighten your arms first, palms together, lean your head forward, and then gently tilt your body so that one arm is under your head and into the water, palms facing down. The other arm is slightly bent, ready to meet the water.
Push water:Perform arm strokes. Start with the shoulders of the arms, then the elbows, arms, and finally the palms. The arms form a curved triangle in the water, and the palm-dominated side pushes the water in the direction of the body.
Leg movements:The legs perform the breaststroke leg movement, that is, the legs are naturally opened and then closed. The strength of the legs mainly comes from the thigh muscles, and the movements should be coordinated.
Breathe:Keep your head under the surface of the water, and when it's time to breathe, turn your head to one side while paddling with your arm on one side, exhale quickly and inhale fresh air.
Body Balance:Keep your body level and don't let your body swing too much to reduce water resistance.
Turn around:When it's time to make the next stroke, turn your head back into the water and start the stroke with the arm on the other side.
Coherent breathing and movements:Freestyle is a coherent stroke in which the arms and legs are coordinated and the breathing is coordinated with the movements.
Destination:When you reach the finish line, sprint with the last of your strength, stroke your arms and kick your legs faster.
Sprint and collect water:As you get closer to the finish line, make a more powerful sprint and finally quickly retract your arms in preparation for your next stroke.
These steps cover the basic movements of freestyle. When Xi, you can combine the guidance of the coach to gradually improve the technical level. Different bodies of water and race distances may require appropriate adjustments, but the above steps provide a basic framework for guidance.
