The Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been a long-standing focus in the Middle East, and it has lasted for many years, both in news reports and in international attention. Today, the conflict in the region continues to be fierce and shows no signs of abating, and has claimed generations of lives.
Looking back at the intricate history of this region, one can't help but feel a lot of emotion. From the founding of the Phoenician nation in the 13th century BC, to the settlement of the Hebrews during the same period, to the later Hebrew kingdom, foreign invasions, and Roman invasions, a series of historical events pushed this land to a complicated fate. During the Arab Empire, the migration of Arabs assimilated with the indigenous people, forming the modern Palestinian Arabs. However, the "Zionist movement" at the end of the 19th century triggered a large number of Jewish immigrants and frequent bloody clashes with local Arabs. After World War II, with the support of the United States and the Soviet Union, the United Nations passed a resolution in 1947 to map out the future of Palestine, but in practice, it triggered a series of wars.
After the establishment of the state, Israel was ostracized by Arab countries due to its encroachment on Arab land, which led to five wars in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 and 1982. The defeat of the Arab countries has led to the displacement of more than 2 million Palestinian Arabs** and their refugees.
Behind the conflict are multiple factors such as religion, culture, and ethnicity, as well as external factors such as the involvement of major powers, which have made the Palestinian-Israeli conflict more intense and the issue more complicated. The most well-known of these is Hamas, which was also linked to the October 7 attacks.
Looking at the long history of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, various meetings, proposals and resolutions have poured in, but none of them seem to have really solved the problem. The West is pulling the strings, the Arab world lacks major action, and the situation seems to be in despair.
For Hamas now, the hope of overthrowing Israel seems slim because it is too extreme. And expecting Israel to repent is a desperate luxury. Looking back on history, I have high hopes for the emergence of a hero like Qin Shi Huang in Chinese history and Zhu Yuanzhang at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, a hero who can break the deadlock and bring hope for peace to the Palestinians. However, whether this hero has been born or not, I have no way of knowing.
On the Palestinian-Israeli issue, Huang Zhixian's unique views are refreshing. History teaches us that conflicts are ultimately resolved through mutual compromise. In today's civilization, the means of encirclement, annihilation, and cleansing are still adopted, and the thinking is still rigid and does not know how to compromise
Headline Creation Challenge The Palestinian-Israeli regional conflict has triggered a "butterfly effect".
