Qianling Mountain Monkey Avoidance (above).
Written by: Extensive Travel.
One stop in Guiyang is the end of my "20-day tour around the Northeast (Changbai Mountain) - Inner Mongolia - Huashan". I bought a sleeper ticket to Kunming in advance in the evening, so I can easily walk around the city during the day. Leaving the ** station, I found a restaurant to eat, and then, I used my mobile phone to navigate to Qianlingshan Park.
As an ordinary tourist, if you plan to travel in Guiyang for a day, then Qianlingshan Park should naturally be listed as the first choice for its uniqueness and comprehensiveness. The park was built in 1957 and is located in the northwest corner of the central part of Guiyang City, and is named after Qianling Mountain, which is known as the "first mountain in southern Qiannan". It is composed of Sanling Bay Macaque Ornamental Park, Hongfu Temple, Qilin Cave, Panda Pavilion, Zoo, Qianling Lake, Fengyu Bridge and other scenic spots, as well as mountain walking tunnels and mountain trails, and has amusement facilities and science popularization centers such as dryland sleds, sightseeing ropeways and aquariums. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, patriotic generals Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng were placed under house arrest in the Qilin Cave, and now there is a memorial hall. In 1998, the park was selected as a famous park in China, and in 2001, it was rated as an AAAA national tourist area by the National Tourism Administration. It is very convenient to get to Qianlingshan Park from the railway station, and many buses can reach it within 20 minutes;Tickets cost only $5, while those over 60 years old are free. When I saw the ** public notice board at the entrance of the park, a group of Guangdong tourists next to me said "female monkey (sorry)", grinning.
At first, I had no idea how domineering and dangerous the monkeys in Qianlingshan Park were. Walking up the stream, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant, and when I first found a monkey in the tree, I was quite surprised and hurriedly took pictures of it. After a few monkey cries, many monkeys popped up around us, and it turned out that the first monkey I had just seen was a sentry, and they used this sudden attack to "beg for a living" from tourists.
Several monkeys stopped pedestrians.
At this time, the security guards of the park began to use loudspeakers to educate visitors on monkey safety, and the focus of the shouting was not that the macaques were national second-class protected animals, but that they should pay attention to their packages, that they should be more than 2 meters away from the macaques, that they should not tease the macaques, and that they should not be fed so as not to be scratched by the macaques, etc. Before I could figure out what I should do, a little monkey rushed towards the supermarket shopping bag I was carrying, but I was dodged and I screamed. I guess the monkey saw the banana and apple in my transparent shopping bag from a distance, or smelled it. At this time, I was holding a coat in my hand, and the security guard came to stop the monkey and suggested that I wrap the supermarket shopping bag with my coat, so I did as the security guard said, and walked through this road of monkey concentration ** into the mountain among several young tourists.
In addition to the security guard's warnings to tourists, I also saw a roadside warning sign that said, "Since 2004, macaques have injured people 5,927 times." "The brand is not new, and it is estimated that more people have been injured by macaques so far.
Unforgettable Attractions Looking further down the hillside where macaques are frequent, there is a battle scene of bald leaves, flying sand and rocks, and no grass. Later, I saw the park infirmary, where you can treat people with monkey injuries in an emergency and simple way, and there are also notices posted at the door telling people how to treat wounds, how to go to the park's designated hospital for rabies vaccination, how to keep receipts, how to get medical compensation, and so on. While resting on the side of the road, I asked the park's cleaning staff, and I heard that sometimes macaques hurt dozens of people a day. The most distressing case is that in July 2011, a couple brought their 8-month-old son to Qianlingshan Park to play, and when changing the baby's diaper pants, a monkey thought there was food in it, suddenly jumped out, grabbed it, and scratched the baby's **. Others say that the baby boy was eventually scrapped.
What can tourists do to prevent being injured by macaques?People are talking about it. To sum up, the main ones are as follows: don't chew anything in your mouth when passing through the monkey area;Don't take the initiative to hook up, don't make eye contact with macaques for long periods of time;Don't wear red;Don't provoke the mother monkey with the baby monkey in her arms; When feeding, it should be given to the monkey king first and then to the young monkeys, and the old should be respected first and then the young. There is no shortage of monkeys, girls in skirts should not go to the monkey area, when they are harassed by monkeys, girls should not panic and scream, so as not to provoke more monkeys to gather ** (probably it is the nature of monkeys to be afraid that the world will not be chaotic);Don't think the little monkey is cute, just rush up to hug it, pet it, be misunderstood by the big monkey will invite a group of monkeys to come to the group to beat, the consequences are very serious; If something falls on the ground near the monkeys, be sure to pick it up with the protection of the security guards, and in case of an emergency, you should ask the security guards for help and never try to fight the monkeys alone. You can buy a walking stick to scare the monkeys, and you can also use it when climbing the mountain, killing two birds with one stone.
