The girl went up to "the mountains are high and the forests are dense, ask the woodcutter when to start", and Xiucai went down to soothe her heart
There are two common ways to fall in love: one is long-term love, and the other is love at first sight. But love at first sight always needs a point of fit, which can be the other party's appearance or the other party's ability.
In the Ming Dynasty, there was a girl who admired Xiucai's talent and fell in love with him. What was their acquaintance like?It all started with a couplet she wrote to Xiucai.
People who have reached the age of marriage but are not yet married.
In ancient society, people were divided into four levels: scholars, farmers, industrialists, and merchants. Due to the fact that the rulers of successive dynasties emphasized agriculture and suppressed commerce, all the aborigines hoped to achieve fame and fortune through their own efforts, and became the envy of the world"taxi"。
The same was true in the old Ming Dynasty, but there were still a few talents in the examination, and the talents in this article were not among the talents in the examination.
Although Xiucai is knowledgeable and talented, he has repeatedly failed to do so. Although he has repeatedly failed the list, Xiucai has not given up, he still studies hard to Xi, hoping to be admitted to the Jinshi one day.
Generally speaking, the imperial examination in the old days was divided into four levels: the court examination, the city examination, the general examination, and the palace examination. The appointment of Xiucai means that if a scholar who has passed the court examination wants to be promoted, he must pass the county examination, and if he passes the county examination, he can become a lifelong person.
In ancient times, the champion was the first place in the imperial examination presided over by the emperor himself. From this, it can be seen that to become"High school champion"Not an easy task.
Because Xiucai has been studying for most of his life, but he did not marry a daughter-in-law when he reached the age of marrying a daughter-in-law, which made Xiucai's parents very anxious, so they asked Xiucai to find a matchmaker.
In Xiucai Village, there lived a rich son surnamed Zhang, whose daughter had not yet married when she reached marriageable age. Why didn't Mrs. Zhang get married?
She is the daughter of the Zhang family, she has received a good education since she was a child, she is proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting, and she wants to marry a man who can match her knowledge. This makes it difficult for the average man to attract her attention.
Ms. Zhang also believes that marrying the person of her choice is a waste of life. Although Ms. Zhang's parents were also concerned about their daughter's marriage, they decided to respect their daughter's decision.
Love comes from verses. Get married now.
Zhang's parents knew that there was a talented and good-looking Xiucai in the village, so they asked someone to invite Xiucai to see if their daughter would like him. If her daughter can tie the knot with Xiucai, then her lifelong event will be solved.
After Xiucai met Teacher Zhang, she also wanted to know if Teacher Zhang was as talented as people said. So, he first sent Ms. Zhang a couplet:"Big Bear has seven stars in the sky, fourteen points under the water"。
The big chariot in the sky is made up of seven stars, so why is it connected to fourteen points? For the seven stars in the sky are added to the seven stars reflected in the water.
After listening to the first paragraph, Mr. Zhang smiled slightly and said:"The lonely goose came south, and the shadow of the sun flew in"。It turned out that the appearance of the two geese was due to a lone goose and the reflection in the sun. The upper and lower couplets seem to form a neat couplet.
However, Mrs. Zhang didn't want to show weakness after being embarrassed by the question, so she proposed it to Xiucai again"The mountains are high and the forests are dense, and I ask when the wood is"and wanted to see if Xiucai's understanding of the poem was correct.
As soon as the girl's voice fell, Xiucai said:"The waves are wide, and the fisherman is advised to go back early. "After Xiucai finished speaking, the sister-in-law of the Zhang family decided to stay with Xiucai.
Does this set of verses have a deeper meaning?Of course. Let's look at the upper link first. Although this couplet came from the woodcutter's mouth, it showed Mrs. Zhang's kindness to Xiucai.
Uplink"When"The word, in fact, means that Xiucai is going to show her heart to her and propose to her family. Of course, Xiucai heard the meaning of Shanglian and said:"I advise you to come back soon"。
Xiucai hopes that Mrs. Zhang will marry him as soon as possible and join his family. After this conversation, they both understood each other's intentions. So, the two families set a wedding date.
After Ms. Zhang and Xiucai got married, Lun was born soon after, and the family has lived happily ever after.
Couples get married, aptitude test.
The twin siblings Zhang Fu and Xiucai are connected through this couplet, and without this couplet, they might not have become close so quickly.
As a traditional Chinese literary art form, couplets are all about order and harmony, which means that it is not easy to create a series of wonderful couplets.
Although the couplet seems to be just two simple sentences, it actually contains a wide range of knowledge in different fields. Therefore, we can also tell if a person is really talented by the couplet.
Therefore, the old talents and beauties will use it"Couplet"to beg for a husband, just like Mrs. Zhang, the protagonist of this article. In addition to Mrs. Zhang, what other characters use couplets to recruit sons-in-law?
Li Qingzhao was a talented woman in the Song Dynasty and belonged to the poets of the Wanyue faction, and she formed the second paragraph with the Wanyue faction"Destiny"。In 1129 AD, Li Qingzhao's first husband Zhao Mingcheng died at home due to ineffective medical treatment, which made Li Qingzhao, who loved her husband deeply, fall into depression.
Li Qingzhao was a famous talented woman at that time, and many men admired her talent and wanted to marry her, regardless of the fact that she had been married. As a result, many men proposed to her.
Li Qingzhao couldn't bear it anymore, hung the upper link outside the door, and said that whoever got the lower link right would marry him.
But many suitors couldn't compete with her, so they had to leave in a huff. At this time, the monk's answer was completely consistent with the upper couplet of Li Qingzhao's couplet. Actually, Li Qingzhao did not marry her. By then, though, she had already died.
Li Qingzhao's second"Good man"It seems to appear very late. Although their marriage was not a happy one, it is clear from their stories that the aborigines used couplets to test men who came to ask for marriage.
