1. Card Deck
2. Balance adjustment
Badlands Wave 2 Balance Adjustment (November 30).
Blind eye marksman
Stature changed to 1 3 (downgraded from 1 5).
Dev's Note: Naga Blind is a strong but also one of the most popular new decks in this version, so its nerfs have a premise that doesn't completely cut it. This change allows players to still play fun burst rounds, but takes more risks when shooting early, resulting in more early thinking and fewer snowballing games.
Court order
Removed card draw effect.
Knight is one of the classes that is strong in most segments. Court order plays a key role in connecting the layers of knight decks, and this change will make this connection a little less efficient.
There are worms outside the worm
The fee is changed to 2 points (increased from 1 point).
Another class that stands out in this patch is the Hunter, and the Bug is one of the most prominent cards in terms of stats and experience. This change will make the deck a little slower, and it will no longer be drawn by the Pendant Tracker, making it less stable.
Defense lawyer Nathanos
The stature becomes 4 4 (downgraded from 5 4).
The order of the dead word settlement is changed to first get and then trigger (reworked from trigger first and then get again).
That is, the triggered Dead Word is changed from "this follower" instead of "friendly Dead Word follower").
Dev's Note: In this patch, we've updated the settlement mechanics for Apologist Nathanos to make it more player-friendly and fun to work with cards like Thornfang, Twisted Frost Pterodactyl, and Skeleton Bull. However, since our overall goal this time was to cut the Hunter a little, we gave Nathanos a small precautionary stat reduction to offset its newfound synergy.
Leo's adding: Although the old settlement of Defense Lawyer Nathanos is not wrong, we will always see players feel that it is a bug or that this settlement is boring, and this change also unifies the player's expectations with reality].
Train chimneys
Drill punch Morgo
Train driver Jerry
Warlock) token Azerit Snake cost reverted back to 4 (up from 6**).
Warlock) token Azerit Snake "damage" increased to 7 (down from 10).
Our last handling of the issue of the Ezerite snake experience was temporary. After that change, and the evolution of the game environment itself, Excavation is now as we would like it to be. This change aligns the cost of digging for treasure with the Snake of Azerit with other lore, and the change from 3 to 5 kills is intended to keep the time required for the overall strategy roughly the same.
* Train puzzles
Train driver Jerry
Token removes mechanical follower type.
* Rapid bursts
Increases the Evil Spell faction.
Badlands Wave 1 Balance Adjustment (November 18).
Kobold miner
Ground-breaking rigs
Train chimneys
Drill punch Morgo
Warlock) token Azerit Snake cost changed to 6 (up from 4).
Dev's Note: We've heard a lot of cheers during the fun-filled few days since the launch of Battle for the Badlands, but we also saw a particularly prominent experience issue: a snake crawling into a boot! It's still early and we haven't reached the balance schedule for the set, but we knew that no matter how strong or weak the card was, this negative gameplay experience was going to have to be removed, so we decided to make a temporary adjustment ahead of the upcoming balanced schedule.
Server-side hotfixes have limitations. First of all, we were able to adjust only the "big value" of stat values and cost, and the problem with this card was not size, so this time it increased the cost. Note that this isn't the final change, our plan is to wait until the balance patch ** changes to this cost and tweak it in a different way to achieve the goal and align it with the set. Second, the server-side hotfix means that the card will appear in two different versions on the client and server, meaning that the card will still be the same as it is in the collection screen, and will show "adjusted stat values" in red letters in PvP. We know this can be confusing, which is why we don't often choose to balance with server-side hotfixes, but we think it's worth it to make this new content fun enough during launch. Finally, things like full breakdowns will also be included in the balance patch, which you should be aware of when managing your collection.
Magister Morning Hug
All modes are disabled (temporarily).
Developer's Note: We found an issue where the Magister's Morning Embrace Hero skill would cause disconnection, and because of its problem with the skill, it would drop once every turn, so this card is particularly problematic [compared to other cards that also have this bug]. A fix for this issue is already on the way, but it needs to go live with another form of patch, so we'll be temporarily disabling morning hug until it's fixed.
