The beginning of the film shows Hu Jianlin's busy life:

After 20 years, Zhonghe Company has developed into a large listed enterprise, while Hu Jianlin has worked in the old factory for 20 years but is still only a senior fitter. The wife finally broke up because the two had been living in their mother's house.
The low-level employees who are used to being wronged, in the face of the order of the head office, Hu Jianlin still thinks about the rewards he gets because he is an advanced employee every year.
But in life and in the workplace, how can there be such luck as transferring a fitter to a position in the head office with an annual salary of six or seven figures?
This position was actually bought by Zhuang Zhengzhi (played by Wang Xun), the head of the supply and marketing section of the factory, with 300,000 yuan from several years, and this wrong adjustment was also because of the oolong made by the head of the human resources department of the head office after he was drunk.
