Professor Li Sheng, Honorary Chairman of the China Chinese Information Society, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Professor Li Sheng pointed out that the Chinese Society of Chinese and Informatics, as a national academic organization under the China Association for Science and Technology, shoulders the important mission of promoting the development of disciplines and serving the major needs of the country. This year, the society focuses on promoting the academic exchange of large model technology, and by building various academic exchanges and cooperation platforms, holding a number of academic conferences with a scale of 1,000 people, popularizing the knowledge of large models, and promoting the innovation, development and implementation of language intelligence technology represented by generative large models.

The 2023 China Chinese Information Processing Society was announced at the meeting"Ph.D.** Incentive Program"Selected**. A total of 8 PhDs** were selected and 4 PhDs** were nominated.
A total of 5 well-known experts in the industry were invited to give special reports, and 4 outstanding young scholars in the field were also invited to give special reports.
The topic of the report of Academician Zhang Cymbal of Tsinghua University is:"Opportunities and Challenges in the Era of Generative AI"。The report analyzes the characteristics of the generative AI era, from the powerful generative capabilities, migration and interaction capabilities of generative models, explains the possible impact on society and the opportunities it provides for us, and analyzes the challenges we face from the problems of generative models.
CTO Wang Haifeng pointed out in his report that the rapid progress of artificial intelligence technology represented by large language models will lead the wave of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. Wang Haifeng believes that the industrial implementation of large language models can adopt the mode of intensive production and platform application to provide large model services for thousands of industries and accelerate the intelligent upgrading of industries.
At the meeting, Li Haizhou, a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), reviewed the origin and development of artificial intelligence, natural language processing and large models, compared human intelligence and artificial intelligence, discussed the potential and limitations of large models, and how to improve the planning ability of agents.
