Can 150ml of water emulsion pass the security check?

According to what I've learned, whether or not a 150ml emulsion can pass through security depends on the mode of transport you take and where you are. Generally speaking, there are restrictions on cosmetics for personal use when taking a train or plane in China. According to the latest version of the Catalogue of Prohibited, Restricted and Consigned Items for Railway Passengers, from July 1, 2022, the items prohibited from being checked in and carried by railway passengers include strong magnetizers that may interfere with train signals, items with strong pungent odors, items with foul odors and other peculiar odors, as well as live animals (except guide dogs), items that may impede public health or train safety, etc. It does not specify the volume size of cosmetics, which means that there is theoretically no capacity limit for cosmetics. However, in the actual implementation process, it is recommended to refer to the regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) stipulates that from May 1, 2008, the regulations on the number of items carried by passengers on domestic flights will be strictly enforced. Passengers holding business class or economy class tickets can only carry one item per person, each item shall not exceed 55 cm in length, 40 cm in width, 20 cm in height, and 5 kg in weight, and the capacity of each piece of cosmetics that can be carried on board shall not exceed 100 ml, and the total volume shall not exceed 1,000 ml. If you are taking an international flight, the staff will also check whether the liquid exceeds 100ml when passing through the security check.

It is important to note that even if your emulsion capacity does not exceed the prescribed limit, it may not be possible to bring it on the plane or train for other reasons. For example, when passing through the security check, the staff may check whether the liquid is transparent, whether there is a peculiar smell, whether there are flammable or explosive signs, etc. Therefore, it is recommended to read the relevant regulations carefully before traveling, and try to choose to check in or take cosmetics home in advance. If you really need to bring it on a plane or train, it is recommended to pack the emulsion in a transparent bag so that the staff can check it.
