Category A and Category B in the public *** are classified according to the different positions recruited. Category A is mainly for positions in provincial organs, Category B mainly refers to positions with professional restrictions, and Category C is mainly for positions in township organs. The Category A exam consists of three subjects: "Public Basic Knowledge" Paper A, "Administrative Vocational Aptitude Test" Paper A, and "Essays". Category A positions mainly involve research and drafting, policies, laws and regulations, planning, etc., as well as guidance, supervision and inspection of the implementation of policies, laws and regulations, and plans.
