However, all these methods must be practiced by oneself, and the truth must be cut off from confusion, and there is no other force to hold it, so that it can be determined to enter the holy and transcendent in this life, and achieve what it wants.
Translation] All the methods mentioned in the teachings of the next generation, although there are differences in size and size, and the difference between power and reality is more than a way for all sentient beings to return home and restore their original mind. However, these many methods must be practiced by themselves, and they must be able to overcome their confusion and realize the truth, and they will be free from birth and death, and there is absolutely no other power (Buddha power) to sustain them, so that they will definitely be able to become holy and transcendent in this life and achieve their wishes!
Only the Pure Land Method, relying on the power of the Buddha's vows, believing in the sincerity of the Buddha, whether enlightened or not, and even those who have not broken the slightest trouble, can rely on the Buddha's mercy, that is, in this life, in the West. Those who have passed away are those who have attained enlightenment and go straight to the top. Those who have not broken their confusion also foresee the holy stream.
Only the Pure Land Method, relying on the power of the Amitabha Buddha's vows (the 48 Great Vows), and their own sincerity in believing in the Buddha, and not proving whether they are enlightened or not, and even those who have not broken their troubles and confusion in the slightest, can rely on the Buddha's mercy and be reborn in the West in this life. After attaining the rebirth, then those who have attained enlightenment go straight to the Lotus Terrace;Those who have not been confused are also allowed to join the Holy Stream.
[original text] is the method of knowing the Pure Land, vast and unlimited, such as the Tianpu cover, like the earth and the earth, the overall control of the group of machines, and there are no relics. It can be said that all the Buddhas of the Ten Directions and the Third World, ascending to the Buddha's path, descending to all sentient beings, and becoming the general holding method of the beginning and the end. The three roots of the pudu quilt (pī), sharp and blunt.
Therefore, knowing the Pure Land Method, there is no Dharma that is not included, such as the sky covering all things, like the earth all lifting up all things, controlling the group of machines, and not missing a single thing. In fact, it can be said that all the Buddhas of the Ten Directions and the Third World, ascending to the Buddha path and transforming sentient beings, are the general holding of the Dharma from the beginning to the end. The upper, middle and lower three general quilts are all sharp and blunt.
【Original Text】The above is the Bodhisattva of Enlightenment, and cannot go beyond it. The next one is against the evil mortals, and you can also pre-enter it. As if you were born in the world, you can open the right way for all beings to return to the Yuan. Therefore, the nine worlds return together, the ten parties praise together, thousands of scriptures are explained, and all theories are declared.
Upwards, then the Bodhisattva of Enlightenment cannot go beyond the Pure Land Dharma;Downwards, then ordinary people who are the five rebellions and ten evils can also join the Pure Land Method. Smooth the original intention of being born in the future, and open the right path for all beings to return to their own nature. Therefore, the nine Dharma realms can return together, the Buddhas of the ten directions praise together, thousands of scriptures are expounded, and ten thousand treatises are proclaimed!
【Original Text】And the situation is at the end of the Dharma, the human roots are bad, and if you don't cultivate this, not only will you be bound to ordinary people, but you will not be able to leave life and death, that is, the saints of the ten lands, and it will be difficult to complete Bodhi.
What's more, at this time when we are at the end of the Dharma, and if we abandon this Pure Land method and practice other methods, we will not only bind ordinary people, but there is no way to get out of the cycle of birth and death, and even a saint who has attained the Ten Lands will find it difficult to attain the perfection of Bodhi.
【Original text】Therefore, Manjushri, Fuxian, Ma Ming, Nagarjuna, Yuangong, Wise, Cool, Yongming, all have a vajra heart, and praise it. In order to achieve the six paths and three vehicles, they will also transcend the three realms and restore the original mind.
Therefore, Manjushri, Puxian, Ma Ming, Nagarjuna, Huiyuan Patriarch (the first ancestor of the Pure Land Sect), the Wise Master (i.e., the Zhiyi Master, the four ancestors of the Tiantai Sect), the Qingliang National Master (the four ancestors of the Huayan Sect), the Yongming Longevity Master (the third ancestor of the Zen Dharma Eye Sect, the six ancestors of the Pure Land Sect) and other great bodhisattvas and patriarchs, all of them have vajra hearts and praise the Pure Land Method. In the hope that the beings of the six realms (heaven, human, asura, hell, evil ghosts, and beasts) and the sages of the three vehicles (shravaka, karma, and bodhisattvas) will transcend the three realms and restore their original minds.
Zhu Zhen's writings are too many to count. Master Hui Yi chose the nine most suitable times, and explained the Mida from his book, which is called the Ten Essentials of the Pure Land. In this way, the scholar will understand the essence of living in the future, and the reason why the one law universalizes all the laws.
Translation] Ancient India and China have written more about this method than can be counted. Master Yu Yi (Dharma name Zhixu, the word Hui Yi, the Nine Ancestors of the Pure Land Sect), selected the nine works that are most suitable for the times and the root mechanism of all beings, and added his own "Mida Explanation" to synthesize a book, called "Ten Essentials of the Pure Land". Those who want to learn Xi will all realize the key path to the transformation of sentient beings and the reason why one method can encompass all methods.

Now that the original of the "Ten Essentials of the Pure Land" has been obtained, Li Yuanjing is preparing to re-publish the "Ten Essentials of the Pure Land" in accordance with the regulations of the "Ten Essentials of the Pure Land" that Master Chengshi has asked for, and all the narrative comments made by Master Chengshi will be reproduced one by one. Only make up for the defects caused by the deletion of the master of the time, and do not destroy the painstaking efforts of the master of the time. It is still divided into four volumes, but because the amount of content deleted varies, the volumes must be readjusted.
【Original text】Xizhai poem, chanting Buddha pointed directly, in the past, it was inverted before and after, and now it is appropriate. At the end of each volume, there are important texts and quotations of enlightenment. In addition, there is a commentary on the past life, the poems of the lotus world, which is one volume and is a supplementary volume, making a total of five volumes. All of them are in line with the ten-point textual purpose, and there is no difference.
Translation] "Saisai Pure Land Poems" and "Baowang Samadhi Buddha Jikji", but in the past in the book, they were reversed back and forth, but now they have been adjusted. At the end of each volume, there are various important texts, as well as the "Quotations of the Enlightened Zen Master". In addition, the "Commentary on the Past Life" and "Poems of the Lotus Blossom World" were combined into one volume as an appendix, making a total of five volumes. These books are all in line with the purpose of the Ten Essentials of the Pure Land, and there is no difference at all.
