Since the first section of the trolley was hoisted and lowered, the project team has overcome the effects of continuous scorching heat and high temperature and the commissioning of new technology and new equipment, and completed the hoisting of the shell and cutterhead of the "Jianye" shield machine, underground assembly, commissioning, and trolley splicing and commissioning.

It is necessary to pass through a number of cross-line bridges and important structures such as rail transit in operation along the shield section from the wind shaft to the 5 wind shaft, which has a large construction risk and high requirements for settlement control, and at the same time, the geological structure of the inner stratum in the excavation section is complex and the construction is difficult. Since July 10, 2022, the "Jianye" shield machine has crossed the Chenchunbang Bridge, Kangwu Road and Bridge, Metro Line 18 in operation, and the Nanhe Bridge of the Outer Ring Road, and finally successfully completed the reception work in the 5th wind shaft.

In order to speed up the construction, there are 8 14-meter-level super-large shield machines and 4 9-meter-level large shield machines at the same time in the shield section of the airport contact line during the peak construction period, and at the same time, scientific means are used to optimize the construction plan.

During the tunneling process, the short-distance crossing of the G60 high-speed pile foundation and the ultra-long-distance parallel Shanghai-Kunming high-speed railway synchronous construction were completed, and the minimum clear distance was only 81 meter, 11 km ultra-long distance under the Huangpu River, with a minimum of 7The vertical clear distance of 1 meter crosses the subway line 8 in operation, 42-meter ultra-small spacing shield parallel construction, 2A series of difficult "actions" such as 12 meters side through the cargo channel of Pudong Airport, at the same time, the tunnel is fully prefabricated and assembled, and high-precision intelligent installation equipment is adopted, which greatly shortens the construction period, improves the quality of the project and improves the construction environment compared with the traditional cast-in-place process.

It is reported that with the opening of the shield section in the early stage, the airport liaison line will fully enter the decoration, track-laying operations and the construction of mechanical and electrical projects behind the station.

The total length of the airport liaison line is 686 kilometers, passing through the 3 administrative districts of Minhang, Xuhui and Pudong New Area, with a total of 9 stations on the whole line, and the maximum speed of the train can reach 160 kilometers. After the completion of the project, the running time between the two comprehensive transportation hubs of Hongqiao and Pudong can be controlled to about 40 minutes, and the transfer with a number of existing and under-construction rail transit lines will be realized, which will facilitate the travel of citizens and passengers along the line. At the same time, it will further enhance the radiation role of Pudong and Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hubs in the Yangtze River Delta region, serve the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, and provide strong support for improving Shanghai's global city energy level and core competitiveness, and implementing the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
