On December 12, the groundbreaking ceremony of the coal-to-hydrogen project of North Huajin United Petrochemical Fine Chemical and Raw Material Engineering was held in Panjin, Liaoning Province, with the participation of the Northeast Branch of Sinochem Second Construction Group. The branch undertook the civil works of the B bid section of the coal-to-hydrogen project, and the project is expected to be completed in September next year.
North Huajin United Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Fine Chemical and Raw Material Engineering Project is a large-scale comprehensive petrochemical project integrating oil refining projects, chemical projects and coal chemical projects, with a total investment of 83.7 billion yuan, located in Liaobin Coastal Economic and Technological Development Zone, Panjin City, Liaoning Province, mainly building 15 million tons of oil refining and 32 sets of process equipment such as ethylene and PX, as well as supporting public works and auxiliary facilities. 89 square kilometers, it is expected to be fully operational in 2026. At that time, Huajin Group will form an annual production capacity of 23 million tons of oil refining, 2.15 million tons of ethylene and 2 million tons of paraxylene, and is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 150 billion yuan.
A total of 17 sets of production units will be built in the refining part of the project, including atmospheric and vacuum units, light hydrocarbon units, high-propylene catalytic cracking units, gas separation units, carbon two units, product refining units, coal and diesel hydrogenation units, wax oil hydrocracking units, diesel hydrocracking units, residue hydrogenation units, gasoline hydrogenation units, coking naphtha hydrogenation units, aromatics combined units, sulfur** units, acid water stripping units, solvent regeneration units, and delayed coking units.
The coal chemical part of the project has built 2 sets of production units, including coal-to-hydrogen combined and coal-to-hydrogen sulfur ** units. A total of 13 sets of production units were built in the chemical part of the project, including ethylene plant, ethylene oxide ethylene glycol plant, ethylbenzene styrene plant, 2 sets of high-density polyethylene plant, full-density polyethylene plant, 2 sets of polypropylene plant, hydrogen peroxide plant, propylene oxide plant, polyether polyol unit, butadiene extraction unit, pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation unit, and C4 unit.
