From November 19th to 26th, Ma Jun, President of Beijing Normal University, led a delegation to Italy and the United Kingdom for an exchange visit. The delegation visited the University of Macerata in Italy, University College London, the University of Manchester, Cardiff University, Oxford University and other universities to further promote cooperation in talent training and scientific research. During the visit, the delegation visited the Chinese Embassy in the UK, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Manchester, and the Ruder Finn, and had a discussion with representatives of BNU alumni in the UK. On November 21, Ma Jun and his entourage visited the Chinese Embassy in the UK, and Ambassador Zheng Zeguang met with the delegation. On November 20, Ma Jun and his entourage visited the University of Macerata in Italy and met with the President of the University of Macerata, John McCourt, and the Vice President Catia Giaconi. John McCourt introduced the history and discipline development of Macetara University, and said that Macerata University attaches great importance to and cherishes the relationship with Beijing Normal University. Ma Jun introduced the characteristics of Beijing Normal University, the "one body, two wings" school-running pattern, and the construction of Beijing Normal College, and fully affirmed the cooperation between the two universities over the years. On November 24, Ma Jun and his entourage visited the Regent's School of Oxford University and met with Sir Malcolm Evans, Principal of the Regent's School of Oxford. Sir Malcolm Evans reviewed the results of the cooperation between the two universities in the areas of Mo Yan International Writing Center, teacher-student exchanges, high-end academic dialogues, and tutor training. Ma Jun affirmed the cooperation between our university and the University of Oxford in literature, philosophy, psychology, linguistics and other disciplines.
