The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealed on the 19th that a Navy non-commissioned officer appeared at the Long Island train station with a large teddy bear in order to have sex with a 13-year-old girl. However, what he never expected was that he was actually dating an undercover agent**. Now the Navy non-commissioned officer faces a penalty of 10 years to life imprisonment.
The Daily News reported that law enforcement sources revealed that Ernstrom, 36, is from Hanover, Maryland, and is a divorced father with two children. Currently, he works as a data analyst at Fort Meade.
According to the criminal indictment, FBI operatives placed bait on the app Whisper on Dec. 6 and posted a post claiming that they "no longer need braces." Enstrom replied to her, and the undercover agent repeatedly stated that he was a 13-year-old school girl.
Enstrom revealed that he was 36 years old, lived in Maryland, worked for the Navy, and expressed interest in having sex with her. He also provided a mobile phone number and text messages with the "girl," the complaint alleges.
The FBI said the operators arranged a meeting at the Long Island Railroad Valley Stream station, and Enstrom flew to New York to attend the meeting, bringing a teddy bear as requested by the operators.
Enstrom was ordered not to be released on bail in federal court on Long Island.
