Fluorosilicone rubber has excellent oil and solvent resistance for aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbon solventsPetroleum-based fuel oils, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils and some synthetic oils (such as diester lubricants, silicate hydraulic fluids, etc.) have good stability at room temperature and high temperatures, and can also maintain elasticity.
Fluorosilicone rubber properties.
Resistant to oils, solvents, and chemicals
Compared with methyl vinyl silicone rubber, fluorosilicone rubber has excellent resistance to oils, solvents and chemicalsEven compared to fluoroelastomers, the resistance to oils and solvents is good. After impregnation in the same medium, temperature and time, it shows excellent durability, and it can be said that fluorosilicone rubber is the only elastomer that can resist non-polar media at -60 260. The resistance of fluorosilicone rubber containing methanol gasoline is also relatively good, even in the gasoline methanol mixed system, the hardness, tensile strength and volume change of the vulcanized rubber are very small, and after a long-term immersion test of 500h, the physical properties have almost no change.
Heat resistance
The high temperature resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is the same as that of silicone rubber, and it can be significantly improved by adding a small amount of heat stabilizers such as iron, titanium, rare earth oxides, etc., and has sufficient heat resistance even at 250 high temperatures. Temperature has a greater effect on fluorosilicone rubber than silicone rubber.
Cold hardiness
Fluorosilicone rubber, like ordinary silicone rubber, has good low-temperature performance. Since fluorosilicone rubber is a linear polymer composed of soft Si-O as the main chain, the low temperature characteristics are better than those of fluoroelastomer with C-C as the main chain. Among them, fluorosilicone rubber has better low-temperature characteristics, and the brittle temperature can reach -59, while the general fluororubber is about -30.
Physical and mechanical properties
Fluorosilicone rubber, like ordinary silicone rubber, can be made by optimizing the material formula design to make conductive, antibacterial, flame retardant, foaming fluorosilicone rubber, on the basis of the original oil and solvent resistance, increase conductive, antibacterial, flame retardant, foaming and other characteristics.
Other features:
Fluorosilicone rubber has excellent resistance to weathering and retains good performance even after 5 years of exposure. Ozone is one of the most generated gases when elastomers age, but fluorosilicone rubber has no cracks or cracks after dynamic or static tests, and has good ozone resistance. In addition, the mildew-proof, physiological inertness and anticoagulant properties of fluorosilicone rubber are also very good, and the changes of fluorosilicone rubber under harsh conditions such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, oil, solvents, chemicals, and ozone are very small. The radiation resistance of fluorosilicone rubber is not outstanding, but the radiation aging resistance is better than that of methyl vinyl silicone rubber.
