Level gauge sensor Customs Union EAC certification
Sensor Level Gauge EAC Certification.
A sensor is a measuring instrument that is used to generate a special signal of measurement information that can be easily converted, stored, or processed, but cannot be perceived by the observer.
Sensors can be used to control (measure) or convert one physical element into multiple physical elements. Modern sensors consist of sensing elements and transducer elements, the main characteristics of which are error and sensitivity.
Sensors are used in a wide range of applications: quality control, testing, scientific research, telemetry. Sensors with voltages from 50 to 1000 V AC and 70 to 1000 V DC must be certified by the Customs Union (CU-TR EAC).
The level gauge customs union EAC certification process strictly adheres to the requirements of the technical specification TR CU 004 2011 "Safety of low-voltage equipment". If the confirmation procedure for compliance with all the requirements of the TR CU is successfully completed, an official Customs Union sensor EAC certificate will be issued.
Measuring equipment types not covered by TR CU 004 2011 will be certified in the form of the TR CU EAC Declaration of Conformity Register. This applies both to sensors that are not in the 50-1000 V range and to relays.
To obtain a sensor EAC certificate, samples of these devices must have successfully passed testing in a research laboratory.
If the design of the sensor includes special active components within the RF interference range, then in addition to the EAC certification of TR CU 004 2011, it must also comply with the technical regulation TR CU 020 2011"Electromagnetic compatibility of various technical means"All requirements.
All sensors must be labeled with an EAC and instructions for use must be detailed in Russian.
If all tests prove that the product sample meets the requirements of the TR CU Technical Regulations, and the analysis of the accompanying documentation shows that everything is in order, the EAC certification of the sensor is considered to have been successfully completed. In this case, an official sensor EAC certificate will be issued after which the sensor can be legally produced or sold.
