The all new M5 Touring is powered by petrol electric power and its performance has improved by leaps

In order to welcome the arrival of Christmas, BMW recently released a promotional video full of Christmas atmosphere, not only featuring the M5 Touring that has been hidden in the market for many years, but also further revealing that this high-performance station wagon will return with a new electrified power, giving M Power fans around the world a Christmas gift in advance.

BMW released the new generation of the 5 Series overseas in May this year, and the pure electric i5 will be the first to be launched, and the same high-profile M Power high-performance model will also be launched, and the M5 Touring, which has been announced to be out of the market for many years, will also return, and is expected to officially appear in 2024.

The new M5 Touring is the protagonist of the film, and is dressed in a red camouflage livery with Christmas elements such as elk, Christmas trees, snowflakes, and gold ribbons, as well as the M logo, and the M radiator guard, sporty front bumper, large aluminium rims, spoiler rear wing, and double-sided large-bore tailpipes behind the rear as proof of identity of the authentic M Power model.

The biggest surprise is that the film ends with the phrase "The Ultimate, Electrified M Power", which directly confirms that the new generation M5 Touring will follow the electrification trend and change to an oil-producing electric powertrain, which is expected to be the same as the XM, with a 4The 4-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine is powered by an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack for PHEV plug-in petrol-electric power.

This PHEV delivers 653 hp 81 on the XMThe 6kg-metre output is impressive, while the Label Red Performance version pulls up to 748 hp and 102kg-metre, but the extent to which the next-generation M5 Touring will be played out is yet to be confirmed by the OEMs, who have already confirmed that the next-generation M5 Touring will be the most powerful tourer the brand has ever seen.
