Sometimes we need to transfer files between two servers, such as transferring some installation packages or configured items to the standby machine, and the two servers on the same LAN can transfer files through the built-in remote desktop connection, and you can directly copy and paste them, which is more convenient. In order to facilitate the maintenance of the server, you need to enable the remote desktop control of the server. Here are the steps to turn on the server's remote desktop:
.Open Server Manager and find Remote Desktop or Computer Properties System Remote Settings.
.Open the settings panel of Remote Desktop and tick the option "Allow remote connection to this computer".
.If it's the first time you've set it up, you may see that "Remote Assistance" is grayed out and can't be checked. In the Advanced tab, you need to check the option "Allow computers to connect even if the name of the computer doesn't match the name I entered".
.Click "OK" to save the settings.
.You can enable Remote Desktop on other PCs in the same network segment and enter the IP address of the server on the remote to connect to the server's remote desktop.
