Parameters and characteristics of the use of the Phytron Linear Actuator LA
Phytron was founded in 1947 as a laboratory for the quality testing of physical and electronic products. By the 60's, Phytron had developed into a manufacturer of stepper motors and drive controllers. It mainly produces stepper motors and drivers in special environments.
Motors used in vacuum must not only withstand the vacuum (without bursting air inclusions), but also not contaminate the vacuum. Through many years of experience in the use of specialized materials, we have focused on materials with minimal molecular outgassing and high heat resistance. This is the condition for obtaining high vacuum quality and realistic measurement results in scientific and medical applications. Stepper motors are therefore particularly suitable for precise positioning in a vacuum, as they can be precisely positioned even without a sensitive feedback provider. As a result, Phytron's linear actuators can be used in extremely challenging environmental conditions (radiation, low temperatures).
Because stepper motors do not produce a jitter effect when holding position, this technique is ideal for precise calibration of optical instruments, mirrors, antennas, or samples, such as high-resolution microscopes, particle accelerators, or molecular analysis equipment. For low temperature (UHVC1;UHVC2) and ultra-high pressure (UHVS) Phytron LA linear actuators are dry-lubricated.
