Youth is not only about poetry and distance.
There are also camouflage, steel guns, battle positions.
The rallying horn sounded.
The young heart is surging because of the comradeship and the dream of the military camp.
Take advantage of your youth and go to join the army!
When it comes to joining the army, physical examination is a threshold that must be faced, and eyesight is an unavoidable "checkpoint". I don't know how many aspiring young people once missed their dreams because their eyesight was not up to standard, but with the development of myopia surgery, it has been recognized by the conscription vision examination.
Huaihua Aier Eye Hospital reminds: At a time when myopia is so common, no matter when you plan to join the army, you should have a targeted understanding of the vision standards for joining the army.
According to related information, the registration time for the 2024 conscription will be carried out in two parts:
You can log on to the national recruitment website for relevant information.
Male soldiers: December 1, 2023 to February 18, 2024 (first half).
December 1, 2023 to August 10, 2024 (second half).
Female soldiers: January 1, 2024 to February 18, 2024 (first half).
July 1, 2024 to August 10, 2024 (second half of the year).
For reference only, subject to the official announcement).
Guidelines for applying for medical examinations and ophthalmology.
On the national conscription network, you can learn more about the registration process and medical examination requirements. Among them, the eyesight requirements for conscripted youth are:
Unaided visual acuity less than 4 in either eye5. Unqualified.
Unaided visual acuity less than 4 in either eye8. Corrected visual acuity examination is required, and the corrected visual acuity of any eye is lower than 48 or the correction degree is more than 600 degrees, unqualified.
Refractive error after excimer laser surgery (without phakic intraocular lens implantation and other procedures) for more than half a year, without complications, and the unaided visual acuity of any eye reaches 48. Fundus examination is normal, except for qualified soldiers.
The conditions for qualified soldiers' eyesight shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant standards (the above content is excerpted from: Summary of the Physical Examination Standards for Conscripted Citizens).
Don't be discouraged even if your eyesight is not up to standard, after being examined by a professional ophthalmologist, you can join the army if you meet the conditions and undergo myopia laser surgery.
What preparations should be made before myopia surgery?
1.Stop wearing glasses.
Before the operation, a preoperative examination should be done, and the glasses should be stopped before the examination to restore the cornea to its original shape and ensure the accuracy of the examination results.
General recommendation: stop wearing soft** glasses for at least 7 days;
Rigid contact lenses (RGP) should be discontinued for more than one month;
Orthokeratology lenses (OK lenses) should be discontinued for more than 3 months.
2.Detect other eye diseases as soon as possible to avoid affecting surgery.
If you have acute conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, corneal ulcer, dacryocystitis, iriophalitis and other eye diseases, you need to treat the related eye diseases before you can have myopia surgery. Students who want to join the army can choose laser surgery in addition to ICL lens implantation.
What surgical options are available?
Everyone's eyes are unique, so the right type of surgery is different. Before the operation, the doctor will go through more than 20 detailed and comprehensive examinations such as dilated refraction, comprehensive refraction, intraocular pressure examination, corneal topography, etc., combined with personal eye conditions and eye needs, and customize a personalized myopia surgery plan for each person.
Full femtosecond. The cornea is divided into 5 layers, and femtosecond surgery is mainly performed by cutting the stromal layer to make a lens.
Then cut a 2mm small incision and take out the "lens" that has been "cut".
The femtosecond laser is used throughout the whole process of the full femtosecond surgery, which is fast and the recovery is fast, and the stability of corneal biomechanics is maintained to the greatest extent.
Half femtosecond. Half femtosecond surgery uses two machines, starting with a femtosecond laser to create a corneal flap.
Switching to another machine, the corneal flap is lifted and an excimer laser is used to cut the stromal layer.
Once completed, the upper corneal flap can be covered.
In femtosecond laser surgery, femtosecond laser and excimer laser are used to achieve better visual results. It can also correct problems such as astigmatism.
How to recheck after enlistment?
For postoperative reexamination, Aier Ophthalmology has opened more than 700 diagnosis and treatment institutions across the country, which is convenient for patients to choose the nearest local Aier Ophthalmology diagnosis and treatment institution for off-site reexamination according to their area after enlistment, so as to better ensure the postoperative safety of patients. In order to facilitate the postoperative re-examination of patients in different places, Aier Ophthalmology has also upgraded and released the "Global Review Mini Program".
