He said that the characteristics of Chinese-style modernization are: the modernization of a huge population, the modernization of common prosperity for all the people, the modernization of the coordination of material civilization and spiritual civilization, the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and the modernization of taking the path of peaceful development.
From a global perspective, Zheng Yongnian believes that Chinese modernization is of great significance to the world. He pointed out that on the one hand, if we can achieve the modernization of 1.4 billion people, it means that we can lead the development of the world economy and continue to inject strong impetus into the development of the world economy. On the other hand, the realization of Chinese-style modernization can make more contributions to the cause of poverty alleviation in the world.
We are not only modernizing ourselves, but also the world as a whole. Zheng Yongnian explained that because China has grown up in an open state, Chinese modernization will also be realized in an open state, which is the relationship between China and the world. Therefore, he stressed the need to understand the significance of Chinese-style modernization in the context of "win-win".
Zheng Yongnian said that the key to understanding China is to understand Chinese-style modernization, which contains a dynamic process. "Everything in the world is changing, but the truth of change remains the same. He felt that the greatest advantage of Chinese civilization and other civilizations is that it is constantly growing and will adjust according to its own changes and changes in the situation. Zheng Yongnian summed it up in one sentence: "We have changed ourselves, and at the same time we have changed the world. ”
Looking to the future, how to achieve Chinese-style modernization?Zheng Yongnian proposed that there should be a starting point, "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are all starting points."
