In the past few days, the Qiongzhong County Market Supervision and Administration Bureau has actively cooperated with cadres at all levels to carry out pre-holiday food safety inspections in combination with the special rectification action of food safety supervision during the "two festivals" of the New Year's Day and Spring Festival in 2024, so as to effectively ensure food safety during the festival.
Focus on strengthening the inspection of food production, circulation, catering services and other links, with food production enterprises, food production and processing workshops, farmers' markets, shopping malls and supermarkets, scenic spots, stations, and homestays as the key inspection sites, and carry out special pre-holiday inspections on grain processed products, meat products, edible vegetable oils, alcohol, livestock and poultry meat, seasonal fruits and vegetables, fresh aquatic products, health foods, and expiring foods. Focus on cracking down on illegal acts such as the use of food additives beyond the scope and limit, the production and sale of "three nos", the sale of expired and spoiled food, fake and shoddy food, health food fraud and false publicity, comprehensively investigate the use of "fresh lamps", and urge producers and operators to strictly implement the main responsibility of food safety.
Up to now, more than 550 market entities such as food production enterprises, food production and processing workshops, farmers' markets, shopping malls and supermarkets, scenic spots, stations, and homestays have been inspected. At the same time, 14 batches of special supervision and sampling will be organized, and the results of the sampling will be publicized in the **portal** in a timely manner.
In the next step, the Qiongzhong County Market Supervision and Administration Bureau will continue to carry out special rectification work on food safety during the "two festivals", urge operators to implement the food safety management system and the "two responsibilities" working mechanism, eliminate food safety hazards, and protect the people's "safety on the tip of the tongue".
