In ancient times, King Miaozhuang of Xiyu Kingdom had three daughters: the eldest daughter Miaoyuan, the second daughter Miaoyin, and the third daughter Miaoshan.

Since Myozen was born in the royal family, she is called the "princess", and because she is the third daughter in the family, she is also called the "third princess".

Legend has it that at the moment of the birth of the third princess, colorful auspicious clouds surrounded the royal palace, which seemed to indicate that her life would be full of magic and extraordinary.

The third princess has shown a talented side since she was a child, she can recite poetry, and when she was only thirteen years old, she was already slim, not pursuing glory and wealth, but preferring to cultivate immortals and visit the Tao.

However, as a princess of the royal family, she is faced with a difficult choice.

When she was thirteen years old, King Myaozhuang decided to marry her to his crown prince in order to curry favor with the king of a neighboring country, so as to continue the royal bloodline.

However, the third princess resolutely chose to become a monk, unwilling to get married, and even preferred to die.

King Miaozhuang imprisoned her in the harem in a fit of rage, which made the third princess unable to eat water and rice for several days, and her face was haggard.

Queen Baode felt sorry for her daughter's plight and secretly let her leave the palace to escape.

The three princesses first came to Baique Temple (located in Baique Village, Hanyuan Town, Xihe County, Longnan, Gansu Province) to practice.

However, soon after, King Myaozhuang discovered her and sent an envoy to force her back to the palace.

The third princess resolutely refused the royal family's request, and King Miaozhuang set fire to the White Bird Temple in a fit of rage.

The queen wept bitterly and died.

However, the Third Emperor Gu was not actually burned to death, she was rescued by the believers in time and hid on Huozhu Mountain.

After burning the White Bird Temple, King Miaozhuang was never able to find any trace of the third princess.

His heart was filled with worries and anxieties, which made his health worsen day by day.

One day, an immortal named Tie Guan Li incarnated as an ordinary Lang Zhong and came to treat King Miaozhuang.

After the diagnosis, he said, "You can only ** your disease if you use one hand and one eye as a medicine."

The eldest daughter and second daughter of King Myozhuang refused to sacrifice themselves to save their father.

However, when King Miaozhuang's illness had reached the point of no cure, the door official reported: "The third emperor aunt has returned, and she is willing to sacrifice her hands and eyes to ** her father's illness."

After hearing the news, King Miao Zhuang was miraculously cured of his illness.

However, the third princess was blessed with merit by dedicating her hands and eyes, and she ascended to the rank of Avalokiteshvara in the daytime.

As she ascended, King Chuzhuang wept bitterly and said, "My lack of way has made my daughter unable to keep her hands and eyes complete even when she dies.

Now I pray to the gods of heaven and earth to resurrect my daughter and make her hands and eyes whole.

Just as King Zhuang's words fell, the heavens and the earth suddenly shone brightly, and the hands and eyes of the third princess were completed and then ascended.

In order to commemorate this beloved daughter, King Miao Zhuang ordered craftsmen to shape a statue of the Three Emperors in the main hall with "all hands and all eyes".

However, due to the craftsman's mistaken hearing of "all hands and all eyes" as "a thousand hands and a thousand eyes", this special statue has now become one of the famous attractions in the Cangyan Mountain Scenic Area.
