Wukang Building, also known as Normandy Apartments, is located at 1850 Huaihai Middle Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China. The building was built in 1924 with the investment of the International Savings Association. The designer refers to the style of similar buildings in Paris, with the south and west facing sides of the building as the main façade. Viewed from the west, the entire building looks like a large ship chopping through the waves.

At that time, the Wukang Building was located at the intersection of Huaihai Middle Road (formerly Xiafei Road), Wukang Road (formerly Fukaisen Road), Xingguo Road, Tianping Road and Yuqing Road. An acute angle of about 30° is formed between Wukang Road and Huaihai Middle Road, which makes the intersection of the two roads form an acute angle.

The building was designed by Hudak, an architect from Eastern Europe, whose architectural talent came in handy in Shanghai at the time. Among Hudak's many owners are two powerful financial institutions, the Joint S**ings Society and the International S**ings Society. If the cooperation with the Four Elements Savings Club has made Hudak's pinnacle of the International Hotel, several projects of the International Savings Club, including the Wukang Building, have made him stand out when he first arrived in Shanghai, laying an important foundation for his brilliant career in the next 30 years.
