On December 28, the Sanya Municipal Public Security Bureau reported two cases through its official WeChat: on December 11 and December 15, the men Zhao and Tian were on their way to Sanya from other provinces on December 11 and December 15, respectively, and hid in the bathroom to smoke and triggered the smoke alarm. It is precisely because of the existence of security loopholes that these fires that should not appear are allowed to "board" smoothly, which is why smoking on the plane has occurred repeatedly.
Compared with smoking on the plane, the existence of security loopholes is a more worthy problem. The aircraft is equipped with safety officers, smoke alarms and other hardware equipment, and smoking will generally be detected and stopped in time, and it is unlikely to cause accidents. On the contrary, if the security loopholes are exploited by criminals with ulterior motives, the consequences are unimaginable.
In this regard, the airport management department should be vigilant. Discipline for smoking passengers on airplanes is necessary, but punishment alone is not enough.
