Editor's note: Today, when China has risen and become the focus of the world's attention, how to make the world better perceive China has become an important proposition for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. Groups of young sinologists are taking concrete actions to objectively explain China to the world and let the world understand China objectively. On the occasion of the Liangzhu Forum, Chao News invited representatives of young sinologists to enter the Liangzhu Chao Living Room to talk about their views on Chinese culture and economy, as well as to interpret the significance of the forum.

On December 1st, Liangzhu Chao Parlor invited Ghali Ibrahim Sheriff, a senior "China expert" from Nigeria, as a fellow scholar of the Shanghai class of the Young Sinologists Training Program, and he has a basket of titles.

He is the head of the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Abuja, Nigeria, the founder of the Nigerian Center for Chinese Studies, and the director of the Center for Contemporary China-Africa Studies.

In this visit to the Liangzhu Chao Lounge, Sharif and we explained in all aspects of his vision of China and its role in the new wave of globalization and global governance.

China is like a "big classroom".

In Sharif's view, China's degree of modernization and development is unparalleled, and this is the first impression he will talk about whenever and wherever he talks about China. "After coming to China for many years, I have always felt that the discipline of the whole country and society is so strict, and at the same time, it has a broad, deep and diverse civilization accumulation. There are so many things that we can learn and learn from, and China is like a 'big classroom', with a steady stream Xi of experience and knowledge coming to us. ”

As a senior researcher of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Africa cooperation, and China-Nepal cultural relations, Sharif actively draws on China's development nutrients and does his best to give back to the people of his hometown. He said that China is the future of the world, because China's development model is not to stand alone, but to advocate diversified cooperation and exchanges, and to seek peace, development and tranquility together.

Compared with colonialism, neo-colonialism and imperialism, which have repeatedly repeated the mistakes of the past and experienced subversive failures in history, this open, inclusive, mutually beneficial and win-win development model led by China is the "sweet spot" in the current wave of new globalization and global governance, and is more easily accepted by others.

It is precisely for this reason that some independent countries in Africa, Latin America and even Europe, including some Asian countries around China, are very supportive of China's win-win development path. Sharif said that if a trustworthy leader were to be chosen in the future, China would undoubtedly be at the top of the list.

One of the main purposes of holding Sino-foreign exchange activities such as the Liangzhu Forum at this stage is to let the world know about China and let the world understand the development concept that China upholds, and in the hearts of young sinologists like Sharif, they are very aware of this responsibility.

During his doctoral studies at Central China Normal University, Sharif carefully studied the experience and ideas of China's rapid economic growth, and at the same time, by paying attention to the Communist Party of China and some major policies, he reflected on what his country's political parties can Xi learn and learn from, so as to promote Nigeria's economic development and social progress in the future.

We came here and to Liangzhu to study more about China, and to analyze how to find a place in this wave of global modernization. Sharif said that at the same time, he is also actively learning Xi understanding the superiority of China's characteristic social governance system under the leadership of the party, hoping that one day it can be extended to more countries to use.

In short, culture builds bridges between different countries and regions, and Sharif and many other young sinologists are like ferrymen, inspiring people from all over the world to understand China more broadly and comprehensively.
