Considering the situation, the word Weng, the name Huayang Zhenyi, is a poet, painter, and connoisseur. Compared with other famous poets, he has a distinct personality, is upright, and likes to speak wildly, but he is the Wenzong of the Tang Dynasty to the Middle Tang Dynasty, so don't underestimate him.
Gu Jing was born in a family of eunuchs in Hengshan, Shiling, Haining, and his family property is quite rich. His father, Gu Seng Qin, worshiped Shang Shu in the twenty-second year of Tang Kaiyuan, and later died in office. Under the guidance of his parents, he loved work and studied hard since he was a child. However, the imperial examination was not smooth, and it was not until 757 that he passed the examination in his thirties.
After taking the Jinshi examination, he was a scholar at first, and then moved to a writer. However, due to his upright temperament, he struggled in the officialdom and offended many people during his official career. Considering the situation, he often ridiculed the deceitful behavior of the powerful people of the current dynasty, so he left a lot of satirical poems.
Later, because of his "Song of the Seagull", which mocked the powerful people of the dynasty, he was demoted to Raozhou Sihu. However, he is not just doing things that offend people all his life, he also has one thing that people talk about, that is, he discovered the "poetry demon" Bai Juyi, who is a descendant. 16-year-old Bai Juyi went to Chang'an at the age of 16 to take the test and visited the famous poet Gu Jing, who liked his poems very much. Since then, Bai Juyi's poems have been greatly revitalized, and he is known as "Li Du Yuanbai" along with Li Bai, Du Fu, and Yuan Zhen, and is known as the "Four Masters of Tang Poetry" in the history of Chinese literature.
Although Gu Guo is far away as an official in the capital, he still misses the mountains and rivers of his hometown. So in his later years, he resigned and retired, settled in Maoshan, called himself Huayang Zhenyi, and lived in seclusion for the rest of his life. He was an honest official in the court, sympathetic to the people's woes, and attached importance to the selection and training of talents. The poems are also simple and easy, reflecting the social contradictions of the time and sympathizing with the people's suffering.
