From December 16th to 17th, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China School of Medicine Construction and Development Promotion Conference was held in the Shahe Campus of the University.
At the meeting, Academician Wang Chen, President of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and President of Peking Union Medical College, Academician Qiao Jie, Executive Vice President of Peking University and Director of the Department of Medicine, Tang Qizhu, Vice President of Wuhan University, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Minister of the Ministry of Medicine, and Li Zhengchi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan University and Secretary of the Party Committee of West China Clinical Medical College (West China Hospital), made keynote reports respectively.
During the event, the guests held 36 presentations in four sub-venues, focusing on topics such as "New Medical Construction", "Medical Innovation in Shanghai and Chengdu", "Improvement of Tumor Diagnosis and Treatment Quality in Sichuan Province", "Medical-Engineering Intersection, Protecting Women and Children", and "Medical-Industrial Interdisciplinary Integration Development Management".

In 2013, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital jointly established the University of Electronic Science and Technology of Medicine.
