Recently, when the prosecutor of the Lingbao City Procuratorate reviewed and prosecuted a case of theft of copper concentrate (copper ore powder), in the face of three test reports and ** certificates with large discrepancies, he investigated and analyzed the suspicions, accurately identified the value of the theft, and recovered more than 100,000 yuan of economic losses for the parties.
In June this year, a company in Xiamen entrusted Zhongchu Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Zhongchu Company) to transport about 60 truckloads of copper concentrate (copper ore powder) from Zhejiang Province to a smelting company in Lingbao City. After Du Moumou obtained the information through the "Yunmanman" freight network, he signed a transportation contract with the China Storage Company through WeChat to carry two of the cars. Du Moumou, together with Ding Moumou (handled in a separate case) and Dong Moumou, took turns driving two trucks, and got off the highway halfway to steal copper concentrate (copper ore powder) and transported it to Lingbao. During the inspection before entering the factory for delivery, the staff found that the quality of the two cars of copper concentrate (copper ore powder) was quite different from that before loading, and the personnel of the storage company called the police. After Du Moumou sold the stolen copper concentrate (copper ore powder), he obtained 35,800 yuan.
On October 23, the case was transferred for review and prosecution, and the victim raised an objection to the procuratorate, requesting that the value of the stolen copper concentrate (copper ore fine) be re-tested. The prosecutor found that there were test reports issued by three agencies in the case file, and the values were all different. With questions, the prosecutor interviewed smelter employees, laboratory engineers and other professionals to find out the formula for calculating the value of copper concentrate (copper ore fine) and the different detection methods of copper concentrate (copper ore fine) and copper concentrate (copper ore fine). The prosecutor asked the public security organs to conduct a new test, and the testing agency issued a new test report. The prosecutor and the investigators jointly determined the calculation method, supplemented the documentary evidence, and finally recalculated the value of the stolen copper concentrate (copper ore powder) at more than 100,000 yuan, which was recognized by both parties. The case has now been prosecuted in accordance with the law.
