Common law terminology for Major Dispute and Minor Dispute

Major dispute and minor dispute are terms related to the U.S. Railroad Labor Code that refer to disputes between railroad unions and employers.

Major dispute, translated as "main dispute", or "major dispute", according to the Railway Labor Act, refers to a dispute that involves the basic working conditions of a worker and usually results in a new collective contract or a change in the original contract.
