It is said that in the last years of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu skillfully used wisdom and courage to successfully attack and kill the first general Xie Bow in the battle, and successfully occupied Wei County.
This heroic general was Cho Period, who was appointed by Liu Xiu as the Taishou of Wei County. However, at that time, Wei County was not a peaceful place, and the first general Diao Zi was killed by domestic slaves, and the remnants and the rebel army of the displaced people met in Danxiang, known as the Danxiang thieves, and attacked Wei County, Qinghe and other places everywhere.
There was an official named Li Xiong in Wei County, and his younger brother Li Lu actually conspired to collude with the Tan Xiang thieves to enter the city. The news reached Choshi's ears, and he took decisive measures to question Li Xiong.
Li Xiong prostrated and confessed his sins in front of the majesty of Choshi, and was willing to die with his mother.
Choshi showed his magnanimous side and said, "If you feel that being an official is not as happy as being a thief, then take your mother and go to Li Lu!" Then he sent them out of the city.
After Li Xiong left the city, he found Li Lu and took him to the west gate of Yecheng to plead guilty. Li Lu was deeply ashamed and moved, and even committed suicide to apologize to Choshi.
Choshi sighed when he heard the news, and he buried Li Lu according to etiquette and reinstated Li Xiongguan. Since then, the prestige of the Cho period has become more and more far-reaching, and the people of Wei County have respected him.
Choshiki's story tells us that in the workplace, it is a kind of wisdom to blame mistakes with righteousness and resolve conflicts with tolerance. Just like Choshi treated Li Xiong, he used righteousness to make Li Xiong realize his mistakes, and made him ashamed with a tolerant attitude. Therefore, Li Xiong will take Li Lu to surrender himself in order to repay Choshi's kindness.
At the same time, the Choshi period also demonstrated the wind of benevolence and righteousness by burying Li Lu and using Li Xiong. This practice of convincing people with virtue allowed Choshi to win people's respect and trust in Wei County.
This story teaches us that we should learn to be tolerant and generous in the workplace. When faced with the mistakes of others, we can try to deal with them with an understanding and tolerant mindset.
Sometimes, tolerance and generosity can not only resolve conflicts, but also earn the respect and trust of others. At the same time, we should also learn to convince people with virtue.
When dealing with problems, we can try to influence others with morality and conscience, rather than using power and forceful means to suppress them. Doing so not only enhances our personality, but also makes us more respected in the workplace.
