Enterprises are using it, and the training and consulting industry is doing it, but many people may not be able to explain the difference between the three clearly, whether it is the boss or manager of Party A, or even some of Party B's employees.

My simple understanding.

Consulting, that is, to give enterprises or individuals some suggestions, methods, solutions, etc. to solve problems, so that the consulted party can benefit from it.

Counseling, that is, the suggestions, methods, and plans put forward by the landing consultation, and can solve practical problems and train people in the process of landing.

How does it work?

The main role of training is to "train people".

What is it that cultivates people?It is nothing more than knowledge, skills, ways of thinking, etc., such as etiquette training in hotels, sales skills training in banks, 5S and team construction training in factories, and so on.

The main role of counseling is to "give a plan".

When an enterprise finds a consulting company, it must be that the company is facing some problems that it cannot solve by itself and needs professional third-party support to solve, such as the company does not know how to set a strategy;For example, the company's marketing is always out of results, and a good method is neededFor example, the factory does not know how to reduce costs and increase efficiency, and lacks ideas and methods, which require professional consultants to come up with targeted solutions for the actual situation of the enterprise.

For enterprises that lack their own problem-solving skills, most of them will choose the way of teacher guidance, such as factory quality complaints have been high, internal defects and frequent rework;For example, factory deliveries have not been able to keep up, resulting in customers urging goods every day;For example, it has been difficult to improve efficiency, resulting in meager factory profits and so on. These are not just through a few trainings and a plan, the factory can solve it by itself, it requires the teacher to improve one by one with the team for many specific problems, so as to finally solve them fundamentally.

What is the essential difference?

I think the three are fundamentally different.

Training is a "health care product" to prevent problems.

Since it is a "health product", it means that some people will buy it, and some people will not buy it, because it is not necessary. For example, some business owners have a long-term view and want to improve people's awareness, knowledge and skills through training to avoid the safety, quality and delivery problems of the enterprise. I suddenly thought of a sentence I heard a few days ago, "the development of an enterprise is actually the dividend of talent growth", I think it makes a lot of sense, because all achievements are supported by talents.

Counseling is a "prescription" that indicates the ideas and methods to solve the problem.

For example, normal corporate consulting will have communication, interviews, look at the scene, find information, check data, etc., and then give solutions and methods for problems. With this, in fact, the boss basically knows how to solve the problem, as for whether the enterprise itself has the ability to solve problems, that is, whether its foundation is good enough, whether the system is not, and whether the talent can keep up, this is what the boss has to consider.

Counseling is a "private doctor" to help enterprises and individuals solve problems.

The focus of coaching is to solve practical problems, but in fact, this also includes training and counseling. Because many things in the enterprise are not available, teachers need to lay the foundation, build the system, train people, and cultivate people in the process of solving problems, so as to solve problems in the long run, that is, to solve fundamental problems.

Of course, counseling is also phased, and many counseling is also carried out in modules, after all, the meal must be eaten one bite at a time, and the road must be taken step by step. By the way, in the counseling process, it must be the tacit understanding between the company and the teacher to achieve a better effect.

Training, consulting, counseling, it should be said that each has its own role, the key depends on the needs of the enterprise, basically these aspects are combined more, such as using training to lay the foundation, enhance awareness, enhance cognition, improve skills;For example, use consultation to give us ideas and methods to solve problems, so that everyone can have a clearer path;For example, we use counseling to help us solve problems in a targeted manner and simultaneously improve the management level of the entire factory.
