According to public information, Li Luming was born in Huantai, Shandong Province in February 1968, and served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee, executive vice president and dean of the School of Aerospace and Aeronautics of Tsinghua University. In September 2022, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Tsinghua University, and concurrently served as the Director of the Faculty Development Center and the Director of the Staff Development Center.
In November 2023, Li Luming was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His main research interests are human-machine and environmental engineering, brain pacemakers, and neuromodulation, and he has won honors such as Beijing Advanced Worker, the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Capital Labor Medal.
Wang Xiqin, who is no longer the president of Tsinghua University, was born in June 1968, a native of Jiangyan, Jiangsu, and served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee, deputy director and director of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University, deputy dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, director of the Personnel Department, director of the Human Resources Development Office, assistant to the president, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Tsinghua University, and was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and executive vice president of Tsinghua University in October 2018.
