People's Daily Online, Dubai, December 2 (Reporter Guan Kejiang) The 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from November 30 to December 12. On December 1, at the "Forum on Accelerating Green and Low-Carbon Transition" hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the COP28 presidency, global partners including Tencent, Masdar City and Catalyst jointly launched the "Global Low Carbon Innovation Alliance" initiative and announced the expansion of their partner network.
The Global Low Carbon Innovation Alliance is an alliance led by the COP28 presidency, which brings together innovators and practitioners in the field of global climate to support innovation in the field of climate technology and accelerate the construction of the global climate ecosystem, and has been joined by more than 30 leading international companies and associations in the field of technology or climate, including McKinsey, LinkedIn, AIIB, Siemens and MIT.
On December 1, the Global Low Carbon Innovation Coalition attracted global investment firm InvestCorp to join and form a 7US$500 million in low-carbon** to provide financial support for more enterprises in the alliance that provide low-carbon products, services and technologies, and jointly promote the development of the climate technology ecosystem.
On the same day, Tencent officially released the international version of the low-carbon technology innovation community "Carbon Live", which serves as the official support platform of the Global Low-Carbon Innovation Alliance. This is also the first implementation of the alliance since its establishment.

Achieving carbon neutrality requires innovative technologies. In the context of the global response to climate change and the low-carbon transformation of various industries, the industry urgently needs a global community that connects resources and technologies to accelerate low-carbon information exchange, efficient collaboration and resource sharing. According to reports, the international version of "Carbon Live" is a global public welfare low-carbon digital platform, connecting start-ups, investors, applications, think tanks, etc., to build a "low-carbon circle of friends", and provide them with a series of collaborative tools to work together to accelerate low-carbon transformation.
