A first-year girl said that she had known about the case since she was in elementary school and had been following the progress of the case for many years since. On the 23rd, after she learned the news of Zhu Ling's death, she thought about it for a long time, but decided to come and take a look, which was also an explanation to herself who had been paying attention to this matter for many years. At about 11:50, people from all walks of life who came to mourn lined up at the door of the main ceremony Loulan Hall of Babaoshan. The mourning music chosen for the farewell ceremony was "Guangling San" that Zhu Ling played when he was 21 years old, which was also the last time Zhu Ling played this piece after being poisoned. Afterwards, everyone entered the hall with the procession, bowed and saluted, laid flowers, and bid farewell to the body. Many classmates and friends left the hall crying in choked up after offering flowers. According to public reports, Zhu Ling is a 92-level student majoring in physical chemistry and instrumental analysis in the Department of Chemistry of Tsinghua University, and began to have a strange illness at the end of 1994, and was diagnosed with thallium poisoning, a highly toxic substance, on April 28, 1995. Subsequently, ** opened a case for investigation, but so far to no avail. Zhu Ling was disabled for life due to the toxins that invaded her brain, nervous system, digestive system, etc., and her voice could not speak, and her intelligence deteriorated to the stage of childhood. On November 24, 2023, Zhu Ling just celebrated her 50th birthday in Beijing.
