Why don't I want to go to graduate school?
Many people will ask me: Why don't you break through the road to graduate school?
To be honest, I'm a bit of a settler. After three years of high school, I heard that I thought that if I entered such and such a high school, I would have half a foot on the threshold of college - so I really ate my junior high school books every day, and listened to lectures with a little memorization of liberal arts. As a result, the college entrance examination can only barely get into two books.
If you want to go to graduate school in this state, it's really a big gift.
I don't want to fake my efforts, I know that I can't sit still and am afraid of hardship, but I still have the momentum. So, at the beginning of my junior year, I finally made a decision and chose the path of "studying abroad". There is no need to stretch the front too long and too far, and for the time being, you only need to take the English test, and you can focus on your Xi.
However, if you don't eat the bitterness of "roasting salt", you still have to suffer another kind of faster (but equally difficult) study abroad hardship.

1. Provincial awards.
When I was a sophomore, I took a ride from my classmates at the last minute and participated in the innovation and entrepreneurship competition related to the three major balls of football basketball and volleyball, and won the second prize at the provincial level.
2. Xi to the counterpart.
At the end of my sophomore year, I went to the local financial ** center to practice Xi;In the summer vacation at the end of my junior year, I immediately applied to the TV station integration ** center and continued my Xi work.
3. Competitions with high gold content outside the school.
When I was in my junior year, I shot a short ** commercial for 30s to participate in the competition, not only as a group leader, but also as a script shooting and editing. It not only improves hands-on ability and self-confidence, but also makes the document "have something to say".
Ready to finish. Next up – it's the school I applied to!That is, the University of Leeds and Macau University of Science and Technology, of which the University of Leeds is ranked 75th in the world. Due to the consideration of money, study system, and proximity to home, I finally chose Macau University of Science and Technology.
Reasons for choosing the M.U.S.T. project
You can apply without an IELTS score
Originally, I was going to apply for Hong Kong, but in the second half of 22, I stayed in Shenyang, and the IELTS course was cancelled for 2-3 months in a row.
Many schools in Hong Kong have opened their first round of applications in mid-to-late September. By the time my IELTS came out, it was already time for the second batch of applications, and the possibility of applying for admission was meager.
Fortunately, the intermediary teacher told me in a very timely manner: the UK can submit an application without IELTS, while Macau can apply with level 4 or 6. My university happened to be on the list of Leeds and Nottingham, so in early November, I applied to Macau University of Science and Technology and the University of Leeds.
One more thing to mention: In order to meet my needs for "schooling", the teacher suggested applying for several programs in the United Kingdom and Australia, but I just wanted to give it a try, so I only applied to two schools. Although it is good luck to have a book now, it is entirely possible that there will be a sad result of 0 offer for another year, and the behavior is more reckless, so it is not recommended to follow it. Tuition is cheap
For my family, which is not wealthy, the pressure of bearing two years of tuition is not very great, and the monthly living expenses are basically 3K+ enough without buying and buying.
In addition, it is also very convenient to go home, and you don't have to eat white food every day haha.

The length of study is appropriate
The two-year study period is convenient for me to have a certain relaxation period for future employment planning, and for me, who has always been in a big question mark state of "what kind of work do you want to do" in the future, I can have more abundant winter and summer vacations to choose different companies to Xi.
Hong Kong and Macao are basically night schools, and there are many evening classes. I also use my free time during the day to do work and work part-time to improve my work skills.
Professional excellence
Communication has always been a major that is a graduate school entrance examination and study abroad paper. Although the prestige of M.U.S.T. is not very well-known, there are many students in the same class as me from 211 985, and even famous universities such as Fudan and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Enrolled with these students, the pressure transfer motivation is also obvious, every time the PRE and group assignments are carried out in the papers, the school library can be said to be full except for weekends.

M.U.S.T. communication credits are: New ** Communication, Integrated Marketing Communication, both of which are full-time for 2 years (taught in Chinese and English), and previous fresh graduates can apply.
Timeline for application
The application time for M.U.S.T. opens roughly in September and October, and I am 11It was submitted on the 19th, which is considered a late application.
As long as the submitted documents are correct, the number will be issued within 1 month. Even if some material needs to be rereviewed, it will not take more than a month. After receiving the number, you will receive an entrance exam notification in another week, and only 3 days will be reserved to prepare for the interview.

M.U.S.T.'s Advantages in Communication
Interdisciplinary friendly
Communication is very friendly to students who want to change majors, many of my students have transferred from cultural industry management, finance, English and other majors, and the courses set up in the first year of study are more basic and theoretical, which can also lay a good foundation for the two-year Xi of communication.
No language requirement
HKUST does not have mandatory language requirements, but it has been very papery recently, and it is recommended that you have at least a certain number of language scores and submit them together with relevant practical Xi experience.
Double non-friendly
Because M.U.S.T. is relatively new, it is more friendly to non-resident students. If your family's budget is not high and you want to avoid the involution of the mainland, M.U.S.T. is a good choice.
By the Way, I would like to mention the UK application as well!
Compared with the LEEDS application, I think that British institutions pay more attention to the matching of essays and undergraduate majors, because the UK can get an offer and then submit the IELTS score, which can largely leave enough time to prepare for the language score.
The paperwork for the UK application is also very important and is another stepping stone in addition to the resume. Despite my BG double non-existence, in the last year, the study abroad agent also won the LEEDS Society Culture and Media major for me.
Macau light life
I live in a dormitory on campus, which includes water and electricity and is very close to the school, and can be reached by bus for about 15min, and the student discount bus only needs 15mop, the cost of commuting is low.
Macau also has a large foreign population, you can see many people of different cultures, the welfare is also very good, and you can also get free autumn flu vaccines. At the end of October, there is also a free ** festival, with many local and foreign niche bands performingThere are basically different stars at home and abroad to hold concerts every week, which is really a great place to chase stars.

Night view of Macau. Most of the staff at the stores and shops can communicate in Mandarin, so you don't have to worry too much about language communication when you go out to eat, play, or shop.
Macau is small and really great for hanging out. In addition, Portuguese cuisine is also very famous, and there are many foreign populations in Southeast Asia, so you can really try these two cuisines here, so that you can feel like you are going abroad without going abroad. And you can also check in several European countries in one day, such as Londoners, Venetians, Parisians, and directly arrange to stay.
