The steps for the Great Wall pickup to turn on the exhaust self-cleaning in situ are as follows:
Park your vehicle in a safe, open area, put it in neutral, turn off the engine, and pull the handbrake to prevent rolling.
Wait 15 minutes after turning off the engine and check the oil level altitude. If it is higher than the highest position, you should contact the service provider urgently and send it for inspection.
If the oil height is between the lowest and the highest, start the engine so that its temperature reaches 30 degrees.
Switch the ignition to lock mode and hold it for 20 seconds, then switch to ON mode and long press the active regeneration switch for 5 seconds. When the instrument cluster displays "Please start the vehicle and idle", release the switch.
Start the engine, turn on the air conditioner, and the DPF enters the regeneration process, at which point the engine speed can reach 2000 rpm.
Wait about 15 minutes for regeneration to complete and the engine speed to return to idle.
Precautions: When the vehicle needs to be used in an emergency, press the clutch, brake, or accelerator pedal to exit the regeneration procedure.
If the alarm message is not eliminated after the regeneration procedure is completed, contact the Great Wall 4S store immediately for help.
The manual regeneration program will generate high temperatures when running, and do not park the vehicle in a place with hay or wood to avoid safety hazards.
