Professor Chen Hongwei of Tsinghua University introduced

Hongwei Chen, Ph.D., is a tenured professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is mainly engaged in the research of integrated optoelectronic information processing, photonic intelligent perception and integrated optoelectronic technology. He has presided over the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Key Project and the Beijing Science and Technology Project, and has won 3 provincial and ministerial awards. He has published more than 100 SCI journals and obtained 14 national invention patents. He was awarded the first prize of Outstanding Doctoral Graduate and Outstanding Doctoral Degree of Tsinghua University. He became the first technical committee chair from China to be held at the top international conference on microwave photonics (MWP) for more than 20 years, and organized the special forums of the top conferences CLEO and OFC as a committee member, and served as an editorial board member of Chinese and English scientific and technological journals such as Journal of Lightw**e Technolgy, China Laser, and Infrared and Laser Engineering. The scientific research results have been reported by MIT Technology Review, SPIE Newsroom, Science Network, China Science News, etc.
