Zhaoxin announced the launch of a new generation of KX-7000 series desktop processors. The new products have achieved significant improvements in performance, interconnection, IO and other technologies, and can be widely used in desktops, notebooks, all-in-one computers, cloud terminals, and embedded computing platforms, greatly improving the comprehensive experience of the whole machine.
The KX-7000 series desktop processors adopt Zhaoxin's new generation of "Century Avenue" independent microarchitecture, which has been newly designed and comprehensively optimized for the core front-end design, out-of-order execution engine and execution unit, and memory access hierarchy. It is compatible with the x86 instruction set, supports SM2, SM3, SM4 acceleration instructions, and also supports processor and IO virtualization technology, and can run on mainstream operating systems such as Windows and Linux. The new product integrates up to 8 high-performance cores, with 4MB of L2 cache and 32MB of L3 cache, and the maximum operating frequency is further increased to 37GHz, which is a 2x increase in computing performance compared to the previous generation.
Zhaoxin will also be named "ZDI 4."The self-developed chiplet interconnection architecture of 0" is applied to the KX-7000 series desktop processors, which integrates CPU Die and IO Die in one processor chip, which not only accelerates the iteration speed of the processor, but also effectively reduces R&D costs. The I-O interface of the KX-7000 series desktop processors has also been fully upgraded, supporting dual-channel DDR5-4800 DDR4-3200 memory, with a maximum capacity of 128GB, and 24 PCIe 4 ports0 channels and 2 USB4 ports, etc., can meet the application and expansion needs of most markets.
The KX-7000 series desktop processors also integrate high-performance C-1190 graphics cards and support DirectX12 and OpenCL 12、opengl 4.6 as well as h265 hardware codecs and support for dual-channel 4K*** graphics performance up to 4 times that of the previous generation desktop products. In addition, it also supports DisplayPort, HDMI, and VGA outputs to meet the needs of ultra-high-definition audio, video, image processing, and other applications.
Zhaoxin is a joint venture between Shanghai SASAC and VIA, which acquired S3 Graphics, the former leader in the graphics field, in 2000, and has obtained the relevant graphics technology, as well as the X86 license.
