Knitting yarn is divided into cotton knitting yarn, wool knitting yarn, and blended yarn according to raw materials. According to the spinning system, it is divided into carded knitting yarn and combed knitting yarn. Usually the raw materials used are better, the yarn is smooth and clean, the twist is small, and the feel is soft.
According to the different spinning raw materials, the yarn that makes up the fabric includes cotton yarn, wool yarn, silk yarn, hemp yarn, chemical fiber yarn and blended yarn, etc., according to the different fiber lengths used, there are staple fiber yarn, filament yarn and yarn (core spun yarn) composed of short fiber and filament.
Staple fiber yarn generally has a loose structure, contains more air, is more furry, and has poor luster, so it has a good feel and coverage ability, and the fabric woven with it has better comfort and appearance characteristics.
The filament yarn has a smooth surface, good luster, small friction, and poor coverage ability, but it has good strength and uniformity, and can be made into a finer yarn, and the fabric woven with it feels smooth, cool, shiny and bright, uniform and flat, and its strength and abrasion resistance are better than that of staple fiber yarn fabrics.
Softness. The softness of knitting yarn is higher than that of woven yarn, and the soft yarn is easy to bend and twist, and makes the loop structure in the knitted fabric uniform, clear and beautiful appearance, and can also reduce the breakage of the yarn and the damage to the coil-forming parts during the weaving process.
Strength and elongation. Since the yarn is subjected to a certain tension and repeated loads during preparation and weaving, the yarn for knitting must have a certain strength. In addition, the yarn is also subject to bending and torsional deformation in the process of weaving into loops, so it is also required that the knitting yarn has a certain extensibility to facilitate the bending into loops during the weaving process and reduce the yarn breakage.
Yarn for knitting: Yarn used to weave knitted fabrics.
Sewing thread: used for sewing yarn for ** clothing, shoes and hats, bags, etc.
Braided thread: Yarn used to weave clothing, ornaments, etc.
Embroidery thread: yarn used for hand and machine embroidery.
Rope thread: The yarn used to produce rope requires high strength and corrosion resistance.
The twist is different. The twist of knitting yarn is lower than that of woven yarn.
The softness is different. The softness of knitting yarn is higher than that of woven yarn.
The strength is different. The strength requirements of knitting yarn are lower than those of woven yarn.
The purpose of knitting yarn is also different from that of woven yarn
Yarn for knitting: the cloth surface is required to be smooth and soft, and the yarn quality is required to be dry.
Weaving yarn: warp, twist coefficient is generally about 400;For weft yarn and knitting yarn, the twist coefficient is generally about 350.
