In winter, Yutai is a world covered in ice and snow, but it is full of life and vitality. The attractions and special food here make people feel nostalgic, as if they have returned to that familiar and intimate hometown.
In the winter of Yutai, the most beautiful attraction is Weishan Lake. Weishan Lake is the largest freshwater lake in northern China and an important reservoir for the eastern route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. Every winter, thick ice will form on Weishan Lake, and from a distance, it looks like a huge mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. Standing by the lake, I seem to be able to see the ordinary world of Lu Yao's pen and feel his deep nostalgia.
In addition to Weishan Lake, Yutai also has many other scenic spots, such as Menglou Wetland, Old City Haizi, Huihe Wetland and so on. These places also have their own beauty in winter, attracting tourists.
Yutai's special food is also unforgettable. One of the most famous is Yutai rice. Yutai rice is a product of China's National Geographical Indication, which is famous for its plump, crystal clear and sweet taste. Every time I eat Yutai rice, I think of the scene when I was a child and ate with my family, and the warmth and happiness still remain in my heart today.
In addition to Yutai rice, Yutai also has many other special delicacies, such as Yutai Songhua eggs, Yutai soft-shelled turtles, Yutai lobsters, Yutai hair fungus and so on. Not only are these delicacies delicious, but they also have a deep cultural heritage behind them.
In the history of Yutai, there have also been many celebrities, such as Min Ziqian, one of the seventy-two sages of Confucius, Pang De, a famous general in the Three Kingdoms period, and so on. Their stories and legends are still sung in the mouths of Yutai people.
Min Ziqian was a native of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period, and after his mother died, his father remarried his stepmother. The stepmother treats him badly and abuses him often. One winter, the cotton clothes made by the stepmother for Min Ziqian were filled with reed flowers, but the cotton clothes made for her two biological sons were filled with cotton. Min Ziqian wore a cotton coat made of reeds to school, shivering from the cold. When his father found out, he was very angry and wanted to divorce his stepmother. But Min Ziqian knelt in front of his father and pleaded for his stepmother: "The mother is cold in one son, and the mother goes to the third son." When his father heard this, he was very touched and forgave his stepmother. The stepmother was also moved by Min Ziqian's filial piety and has been very good to him since then.
Pang De was a famous general of Wei during the Three Kingdoms period, and he was born in Yutai County. He followed Cao Cao to fight for many years and made many achievements. In the Battle of Xiangfan, he led his army to resist Guan Yu's attack, and was eventually killed by Guan Yu.
The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, which runs through his hometown of Yutai, is the longest man-made canal in the world and an important transportation artery in ancient China. It has witnessed the historical changes of Yutai, its hometown, and has also nurtured the people of Yutai.
Why do I always have tears in my eyes?Because I love this land so much......This is Lu Yao's famous sentence, and it is also my deep attachment to my hometown Yutai. No matter where I go, I will remember my hometown - Yutai.
