Recently, Professor Sun Yun of Nankai University officially joined Quanwei Technology as the "Chief Scientist". The addition of Professor Sun Yun will provide strong support for the R&D, innovation and production process of high-efficiency heterojunction cells, photovoltaic modules and energy storage technology, and play an active role in the company's strategic planning, technology research and development, product innovation, etc., which will further strengthen the strategic layout of Quanwei Technology in the photovoltaic field.

Professor Sun Yun is an expert in solar cell technology in China, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Optoelectronic Thin Film Devices and Technology of Nankai University, and enjoys a special allowance. Since 1987, Professor Sun Yun has been engaged in the research and engineering technology development of thin-film solar cell materials and devices, and has participated in or presided over many national, provincial and ministerial key scientific and technological projects of solar cells. He is the deputy director of the New Energy Materials Working Committee of the Chinese Nonferrous Metals Society, the chairman of the Tianjin Vacuum Society, the director of the Technical Committee of the Beijing Nano Thin Film Solar Cell Engineering Center, and the editorial board member of many professional journals such as Journal of Solar Energy, Solar Energy, Vacuum, and Chinese and Foreign Energy.

About Professor Sun Yun

Participated in the national "Seventh Five-Year Plan" scientific and technological research, and developed the "seven-chamber continuous PECVD chamber deposition system" to fill the domestic gap (1990), thus preparing silicon thin film single-junction cell modules with an efficiency of 788% (400cm2), the process is stable and has good consistency, which is the international advanced level of the year

He presided over the national "Eighth Five-Year Plan" scientific and technological research, and developed silicon thin-film tandem cell modules with an efficiency of 828%(400cm2);Developed "low-light amorphous silicon photovoltaic cell chips", and completed the process design of the national production line (1995).

He presided over the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" 863 key projects and major scientific and technological research projects in Tianjin, organized the research and development of a number of non-standard core equipment, developed and established the national "863" copper indium gallium selenide thin film solar cell test platform and pilot base, and successfully developed China's first nationally produced copper indium gallium selenide thin film solar cell pilot line in 2008, and prepared China's first large-area CIGS thin film cell module with an efficiency of 7%.

In cooperation with the University of Illinois, the solar cell theoretical simulation software "wxamps" has been developed, which has become one of the new universal photovoltaic device tools widely used in the international photovoltaic field.

He presided over the sub-project of the national "973" black silicon solar cell project, and established a theoretical model of "compound crystalline silicon heterojunction (HCT) solar cell" by Wxamps software, which replaced the A-Si film in the HJT cell by a wide bandgap compound semiconductor film, with an open pressure of 900mV and a theoretical efficiency of 31%. Over the years, he has been exploring and researching metal oxide crystalline silicon heterojunction solar cells, and has trained many doctors and masters.
