On December 6, Sergio C**Alieri, Rector of the University of Bergamo, France, Vice-Rector Flaminia Nicora, Gianluca Danilo D'Urso, Professor of Technology and Manufacturing Systems and Rector of the Rector for Applied Research, and Giovanna, Dean of the Academy of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Giovanna Barigozzi and Anna Facchinetti, the head of China Studies and Projects, were invited to Capital Normal University. Ma Geng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of the school, attended the talks and delivered a speech. Relevant persons in charge of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the Science and Technology Office, the School of Information Engineering, and the School of International Culture of Capital Normal University attended the talks.

Marigeng and Sergio Cavalieri respectively introduced the characteristics of the two schools, the development of disciplines and the desire for cooperation. After that, the Science and Technology Office, the School of Information Technology, the School of International Culture, the Vice President of Foreign Affairs and the Dean of the Academy of Engineering and Applied Sciences of our university conducted a comprehensive and in-depth study of their respective scientific research achievements and research directions, disciplines and majors, and international cooperation needs, and actively explored mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation areas. Relying on the research direction of the School of Information Engineering, our university hopes to join the "China-Italy Advanced Manufacturing 'Belt and Road' Joint Laboratory". At the same time, preliminary cooperation intentions have been reached in the fields of teacher visits and exchanges, doctoral co-supervisor training, summer schools, and Chinese language Xi.

The "Belt and Road Joint Laboratory" was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and co-founded by the University of Bergamo in Italy, Tsinghua University and its partners (China Alliance of Science and Technology Automation, Federico II University of Naples, etc.) to promote cooperation in the field of smart factories and digitalization. The mission of the Joint Laboratory is to promote and strengthen cutting-edge research and development in the field of advanced manufacturing, and to build an effective bridge between China and Italy in the field of advanced manufacturing.
