IPA file signing tutorial for iphone

Mondo Technology Updated on 2024-01-31

Apps that can't be listed on the App Store can be installed on devices using a certificate signing or Apple ID. Prepare your certificate or Apple ID and the IPA file you need to sign and use AIS Assistant to sign it quickly.

Sign with a certificate: Applicable to self-purchased certificates for signing, the signature is valid for 1 year.

Sign with Apple ID: Sign with Apple ID for developers or regular users for free and valid for 7 days.

Use the certificate signing method:

Open IPA Signatures in the AISI Assistant Toolbox

Click "Add IPA File" to select the IPA file that needs to be signed

Click "Import Certificate" to select the certificate and profile for signing, and enter the certificate password after the addition is complete

After adding all the IPA files and certificate files, you can choose the path to save the signed files according to your needs

Check the IPA file and certificate for signing, and click "Start Signing".

If you don't have a certificate file, you can first follow the steps below to sign with your Apple ID.

Use the Apple ID signing method:

Select Sign with Apple ID - Add Apple ID, then enter the Apple ID used to sign, your password, and select or enter the device ID of the device (the device on which the IPA file will be installed after signing).

After checking that everything is correct, click "OK". It is recommended that you need to connect your iOS device to AISPĀ® before the operation, and ensure that the "Device ID" can be read, if the device is not connected, you need to manually enter the device ID. Once your Apple ID is added, the signature information will appear in the list below

After that, add the IPA file that needs to be signed, check the IPA file and the Apple ID used for signing, click "Start Signing", and you can install the app through AIS-Assistant after successful signing. Once installed, remember to trust the app in Settings - General - Profiles before opening it for the first time on your iOS device.

It should be noted that the app signed with the Apple ID needs to be signed again after 7 days to continue to use!
