On December 19, it was reported that some foreign netizens recently @yuuki that ANS ** AMD will launch the EPYC processor codenamed "Turin" on the X platform, which is AMD's fifth-generation EPYC server and data center CPU, which is expected to be launched in 2024.

It is understood that Turin will be based on the Zen 5 Zen 5C core, using the same SP5 slot as the ***EPYC, which means it can plug into existing SP5 servers without the need to upgrade the motherboard.

The tipster also shared two core layout diagrams of Turin, one based on 128 ZEN 5 cores and one with 192 ZEN 5C cores. These graphs are essentially the same as those of Genoa and Bergamo, respectively, indicating that Zen 5 has not fundamentally changed. Interestingly, Turin is still the common codename for both models, rather than having two different codenames.

The presence of this engineering dailies could also largely hint at AMD's position on the release timelines for Tulin and Zen 5. For reference, the whistleblower also advanced the Genoa CPU in August last year, which is just an actual model, not an engineering sample. EPYC GENOA debuted in April 2022 and was launched in November 2022.
