New energy vehicles return to their hometowns for the New Year, and charging is difficult to become a trouble During the Spring Festival, many people who work in other places will choose to drive home and enjoy the warmth of reunion. However, for owners of new energy vehicles, the way home is full of difficulties and troubles.
Zhang Jie (not his real name) is one of them. He works in Shenzhen and decided to drive his newly bought new energy vehicle back to his hometown in Jiangxi for the Chinese New Year this year. He thought that new energy vehicles were environmentally friendly and cost-saving, but he didn't expect to encounter a headache for him - it was difficult to queue up for charging.
He told reporters that although there are charging piles in the high-speed service area, they have to wait for about two hours each time to get their turn, plus it takes an hour to charge, so that the original eight-hour journey took 15 hours.
The problem of charging difficulties not only happens on the road, but also after returning to his hometown, Zhang Jie has to face more "charging problems". Since there is no charging pile at home, he can only use the tow cord board to charge the car in the yard, which takes seven hours at a time. In addition, he has to worry about the tow strip being unplugged or the power tripping.
Zhang Jie's experience is not unique. Wang Wen (not his real name) in Xinping County, Yunnan Province, had a similar experience. Every time he goes home, he has to plug it into the yard to charge the car, because only the power grid company in the county has a charging pile at the door, and it is often occupied by others.
Wang Shun (pseudonym), who drove back to Karamay from Urumqi, also encountered the problem of charging difficulties. He said that there are public charging stations near his home, but the charging spaces are often full of fuel vehicles, making it impossible for him to charge. He lamented that charging has become a parking space grab, and it depends on luck.
According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in 2022, the production and sales of new energy vehicles will reach 70580,000 and 68870,000 units, accounting for 25 percent of total new car sales6%。New energy vehicles have gradually "opened" into thousands of households, but the corresponding charging facilities are not perfect enough, the number of ownership is insufficient, and the distribution is uneven, which has brought a lot of trouble to car owners.
So, how do you solve these problems? Zhang Xiang, dean of the New Energy Vehicle Technology Research Institute of Jiangxi New Energy Technology Vocational College, believes that there is still a lot of room for improvement in charging facilities in the western region compared with the eastern region, and it is necessary to increase investment and construction. Zhang Hong, secretary-general of the new energy vehicle branch of the China Automobile Dealers Association, suggested that charging facility operators can formulate reasonable charging standards according to different scenarios and costs, and at the same time can cooperate with gas stations, highway rest areas and other places where car owners gather to optimize the layout and utilization of charging facilities.
During the Spring Festival, when new energy vehicle owners drive back to their hometowns, they must do a good job of route planning, understand the charging facilities in their hometowns in advance, and ensure that they can be charged smoothly. If the conditions are not ripe, it is recommended to choose other ways to return to your hometown to avoid unnecessary trouble for yourself and your family.
