Endometrial cancer is one of the three major malignant tumors of the female reproductive tract, and its incidence ranks first in the United States, Europe and other developed countries and regions, and is now close to 50% of new malignant tumors. In recent years, with the change of people's dietary structure and the increase of metabolic diseases, the incidence of endometrial cancer in domestic women has increased year by year and the age of onset is getting younger and younger.
In order to promote the progress and development of endometrial cancer screening, improve the survival rate and quality of life of endometrial cancer patients, and improve the professional level of clinicians and scientific researchers, Shenyang Provincial Medical ** Hospital held an academic conference on "Progress in Endometrial Cancer Screening" on the afternoon of November 11, 2023. Experts and scholars in the field attended this conference to promote cooperation and exchanges in the field of endometrial cancer screening by sharing the latest research results and experience of endometrial cancer screening, the current situation and future development trend of endometrial cancer screening.
Infertility, menstrual irregularities, dysmenorrhea, menopausal syndrome, premature ovarian failure, pelvic effusion, ovarian hypofunction, polycystic ovaries and endometriosis and other common and frequent diseases.
Professor Wang Ruizhe shared with us the overview of endometrial cancer screening, recommendations on endometrial cancer screening, the application of endometrial collection devices, and the screening and prevention of LS-related endometrial cancer.
Professor Wang pointed out that the number of new cases is increasing year by yearThe high-risk group is identified, and the number of women included in the high-risk group increasesMost endometrial cancers are clinically symptomatic in the early stages;Development of non-invasive endometrial sampling techniques (improvement of screening techniques);The development of cytopathology has further illustrated the necessity and feasibility of endometrial cancer screening.
Hormone**, abnormal blood glucose, high blood pressure, early menarche, late menopause, obesity, metabolic syndrome, infertility, LS or HNPCC, and other tumors are all risk factors for endometrial cancer. Professor Wang said that the high-risk groups for endometrial cancer are identified, and screening is crucial to reduce its incidence. The current screening methods for endometrial cancer mainly include ultrasound, endometrial microhistopathological examination, and endometrial cytology (ECT), and the role of serum tumor markers in screening is still controversial.
Professor Wang also explained to us in detail the advantages of endometrial harvesting devices, including:
1) For sexless or young patients, the use of **speculum + pipelle sampler can avoid the damage of **membrane;
2) No need to dilate the uterus, safe, avoid uterine cavity infection;
3) It can be used for patients with comorbidities who cannot tolerate diagnostic curettage surgery;
4) The patient has no pain, which avoids the pain of diagnosis and scraping and the risk of damaging the endometrial basal layer and uterine perforation
5) Avoid many preoperative preparations such as blood routine, coagulation function, leucorrhea routine, body temperature measurement, electrocardiogram, etc
6) Reduce the medical costs of the society, especially the medical expenses of patients, and reduce the complications of anesthesia.
Therefore, the popularization and application of non-invasive endometrial samplers is of great significance to the popularization of endometrial cancer screening.
Finally, Professor Wang emphasized that cytopathology plays an important role in endometrial cancer screening, and elaborated on the recommendations, procedures and prevention strategies for endometrial cancer screening related to LS (Lynch syndrome), indicating that it is necessary to pay attention to LS-EC (Lynch syndrome-endometrial cancer).
Promote the development of the field.
The progress of endometrial cancer screening is progressive, all-encompassing. Experts explained the whole meeting, and scholars discussed fiercely. Through academic conferences, clinicians and researchers can better understand the latest progress and trends of endometrial cancer screening, improve the accuracy and reliability of screening, enhance the international competitiveness of endometrial cancer screening, and provide strong support and promotion for the progress and development of endometrial cancer screening.
