The Renesas DA14695 module is based on SmartBond DA14695 Bluetooth Low Energy 52 system-on-chips (SoCs) with all the hardware features and functionality of the DA14695. The module integrates all passives, antennas, 32MB QSPI Flash, and is supported by easy-to-use software. The DA14695 module is targeted at a wide range of market applications and will be certified across geographies, significantly reducing development costs, risks, and time-to-market.
The DA14695 is a multi-core wireless microcontroller that combines the latest ARM Cortex-M33 applications processor and floating-point unit, advanced power management features, a cryptographic security engine, analog and digital peripherals, a dedicated sensor node controller, and a software-configurable protocol engine with Bluetooth Low Energy 5 compliance2 Standard radios.
Renesas' DA14695 is based on the Arm Cortex-M33 CPU with an 8-region MPU and a single-precision FPU, delivering up to 144 DMIPS. A dedicated application processor performs ** from embedded memory (RAM) or external QSPI flash via a 16 KB 4-way associated cache controller equipped with instant decryption without additional wait states.
Bluetooth 52 Connectivity is secured by a new software-configurable Bluetooth Low Energy Protocol Engine (MAC) with an ultra-low-power radio transceiver capable of delivering +6 dBm output power and -96 dBm sensitivity, providing a total link budget of 102 dB.
The optimized programmable sensor node controller enables sensor node operation and data acquisition without CPU intervention, resulting in best-in-class power consumption. The DA14695's state-of-the-art power management unit enables it to run on primary and secondary batteries, and to power external devices with integrated SIMO DC and integrated LDO. The JEITA-compliant on-chip hardware charger can charge the rechargeable battery locally via USB. A wide range of standard and advanced peripherals enable interaction with other system components and the development of advanced user interfaces and feature-rich applications.
