The Promo 3000 aerosol particle size spectrometer is a light-scattering aerosol particle size spectrometer system for particle size analysis and concentration determination, which can be equipped with different Welas sensors as required, easily connected via fiber optic cables and interchangeable as required. These sensors reliably measure concentrations from <1 cubic centimeter to 106 cubic centimeters and can be used in gases as well as liquids.
Promo 3000 Aerosol Particle Size Spectrometer Measurement Technology
The Promo 3000 is equipped with a new fast 20 MHz signal processing processor that analyzes the interference of each particle. This makes it possible to identify coincidental events based on the scattered light signal, i.e. multiple particles in a measurement volume can be identified and corrected from a single signal at a time. This makes it possible to raise the maximum concentration limit to 106 particles per cubic centimeter (Welas 2070 sensor). Similarly, with a concentration of less than 1 particle per cubic centimeter, the use of the welas 2500 sensor also results in higher measurement accuracy.

The Promo 3000 aerosol particle size spectrometer is known for having up to 128 size channels per measurement range, with concentrations ranging from <1 particle cubic centimeter to 106 particle cubic centimeter.
The touchscreen display ensures user-friendly operation. Measurements can be easily started and all data such as current digital distribution and digital concentration can be estimated and displayed.
The Promo 3000 aerosol particle size spectrometer is used as a stand-alone measuring device (i.e. without an external computer) and can be measured continuously. All incoming data can be stored at a maximum time resolution of 1s. As a result, Promo can independently measure and store weeks of data. For data transfer, PROMO can also be integrated into the corporate network.
The Promo 3000 aerosol particle size spectrometer has a standard interface and can be controlled via a process control system or a simple LabVIEW program. As a result, the Promo 3000 aerosol spectrometer is particularly suitable for control and monitoring applications.
On the Promo 3000 aerosol particle size spectrometer system, two welas sensors provide a light source and the scattered light pulses are detected by means of a photomultiplier tube. This allows quasi-concurrent particle measurements to be made at two sampling locations no more than 100 meters apart.
