Nature is a carver, right?Cappadocia elf chimney

When it comes to tourism in Turkey, one of the must-see attractions is the "fairy chimney", which is located in Cappadocia, in the Anatolian highlands of Turkey. It's actually some oversized conical rock formations, with soft rocks resembling cone-shaped minarets, with nature giving them a softer basalt "hat" at the top. In 1985, Cappadocia's Magic Forest was selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for both cultural and natural heritage, and the American sci-fi film "Star Wars" was filmed here. Although it's not the first time I've been here to check in, as long as I go to Turkey, I can't help but go to the second or third brush.

Hundreds of stone cones with a height ranging from a few meters to nearly a hundred meters are closely arranged, gathered together, like a peculiar chimney, and like a towering group of mushrooms, the elven chimneys here also have a variety of different shapes, multi-headed, pointed hats. It's all sorted, big and small, high and low, and it's very interesting. Some were in a row, some stood alone, looking from afar like a village after a village, and like many brothers next to each other. When you walk here, it's like you've stepped into an alien world, or a fairy tale from the pen of some story king.

They are not mysterious, as hundreds of millions of years ago the eruption of the Elgiyes volcano in Cappadocia changed the surrounding terrain with lava spewed out by the volcano, and hundreds of meters of ash and lava piled up to form layers of tuff and lava. Since then, the rocks that have been slowly weathered have created this magical landscape and created a unique tourist wonder in the world.

In addition to the elven chimney from afar, there are several hidden check-in places in this area, such as a church under the head of the towering chimney, a refuge for religious hermits from the 6th to 9th centuries AD, which is still very well preserved. The area with the highest density of elven chimneys and the most peculiar shape is the Love Valley in Goreme Village, which is also a famous love mecca, and it is said that couples will succeed if they climb a mountain dozens of meters high to confess to their lovers.
